China Magic Noodle House

This is my favorite Chinese place, and really the only place in East Valley serving anything authentic. However, recently, they have a gal server who is very incompetent. She can't get any orders right and then tries to cover it up. She is not attentive to the customer. We hope the owner finds out and gets rid of her.

Best Phoenix Thai

Tried Mint Thai and Thai Lanna. Both were edible, but not very good and definitely not authentic Thai food. I don't think there is any authentic Thai place in Arizona. If so, let me know.

I guess good things are coming to Gilbert. Thanks. Really appreciate the finds. It would have taken a lot of driving to find some of these places. Keep the recommendations coming.

Yeah, I should have sent the fries back, but seeing that it took about half an hour to get them and we were so hungry, and sharing one order of fries, we just ate too many. We were trying all the sauces which weren't very good. The best sauce was their ketchup. By the time we finally agreed that the fries and the sauces were not good, it just seemed poor form to send them back at that point.

There is good Thai food in San Diego

On their menu, they have deep fried quail topped with crispy garlic flakes but it is crossed out. That sounds really good. Their menu looks like one of their kids copied it from some other Thai menu. It looks funny, but a sign of a great hole in the wall restaurant. Maybe since I can still read it on the menu, can someone who is brave enough ask them to start making it.

We're moving to Gilbert, AZ. I was getting depressed after visiting and seeing a desolate looking place loaded with tons of chain restaurants and shops. Does anyone know if there are any good Thai, Mexican, Chinese, Indian, Middle Eastern, or local only restaurants. Also, are there any places to go besides shopping besides the obvious hiking. Man, getting really depressed.

There seem to be lots of "...berto" type places in Phoenix, but I haven't seen a single one in Gilbert.

I hope the city tries to get more local spots. Please help.

This place is great. The food is so addictive. If anyone tries more dishes, please describe. I love it. I've missed good Thai food in San Diego. I get it to go and for some reason it tastes better reheated the next day. The only thing is that I do like eating it with my own short-grained rice. Other than that, everything is sooo good. Thanks for posting this.

Went to ECR. The burger was good, but the fries were not acceptable. We ordered the regular potato fries and all of them were not more than 1/2 inch long. They weren't that tasty either. We should have sent them back, but since we ate a few more than we should just to try out the sauces, we were too embarrassed to send them back. The cook shouldn't have sent out fries of this quality.
