Wegmans going downhill

I also wish they sold more of the cuts of meat at the actual meat counter. You can only get what is pre-packaged and I've had many surprises once I opened the package since you can't actually see the cut of meat (e.g. chuck eye steaks which appeared as whole steaks but were strips of chuck eye). I do appreciate the relatively large grass fed selection compared to other stores.

Not sure last I hear it was fall but not sure how long through fall which is why I'm hoarding them every time I go to the store. I heard about them last spring and have been waiting until they reappeared, perhaps others will know how long they stick around.

What's for Dinner #331 - the Pumpkin Carving Edition

Pizza chicken-chicken breast seasoned with Italian seasoning and RPF seared in olive oil, finished in the oven then topped with pizza sauce, Italian sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, onions and sprinkled with mozzarella and a dollop of ricotta run under the broiler.

Trader Joe's "pumpkinundation" 2014

It fades fast for me but I agree at first application I feel like a candle. I had to restock the coconut body butter as the texture of the pumpkin is too thick for my general purpose use.

looking for help with using a large quantity of dried porcini mushrooms

Porcini salt, porcini butter, also last week I had this crazy idea to use dried ground mushrooms as a crust for chicken and it was delicious

MEH- Sharp cheddar pub cheese. I'm slightly addicted to the Jalapeno pub cheese but they were out of stock this week so I settled for the regular sharp cheddar. It's definitely not even half as crave-worthy, probably a good thing. I truly hope the jalapeno version is just out of stock and not gone for good.

YAY-Kitchen towels! Almost as great as the sponges

YAY-Low moisture whole milk mozzarella, simple ingredient which I don't buy much since most are bland but the TJs brand actually has flavor and melts better than others IME

Chicken parm round #2 this week - wow I love this dish! It used to be the weekly Friday dinner but fell out of rotation. It's back!

Tomorrow's dinner will be loaded cauliflower with speck, Dubliner, Havarti and shredded turkey

The shrimp are currently suffering early mortality syndrome so TJs is not stocking them until the price falls.

Soooo....nutritional yeast and liquid aminos works amazingly well on popcorn so why not meat? The plan - nutritional yeast crusted pork tenderloin with mashed cauliflower. I'm really into novel crusting ideas these days.

I planned to use a homemade marinara I had in the freezer but couldn't find it so Rao's will have to do. You nailed my cheese choice(s) exactly-mozzarella and aged provolone. I like cheese, both are needed :)
