Best meal I ever ate:
An entirely custom-cooked vegan meal at a tiny restaurant a few miles north of Turin, Italy.
My current drink of choice:
Classic gin & tonic.
I really wish I could:
travel and eat my way through the south of France and Italy.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Couscous with almonds, dried apricots, raisins and chickpeas. Garnished with green onions (I hate parsley).
My favorite comfort food:
Chinese roast duck, roast pork, a side of rice and some slices of cucumber.
My most tattered cookbooks:
Madhur Jaffrey's "Eastern Vegetarian Cooking;" and a hilarious (and useful) 1950s edition of Larousse Gastronomique in English.
