Snow Princess

Passed by Snow Princess in the shopping plaza on Azusa and Colima in Rowland Heights over the weekend. Anyone tried this place? My standard for snow ice is Class 302, so just wondering how it compares. The "popping boba" had me intrigued. Thanks!

Molten Chocolate Cake

Agreed, unfortunately the take-home part is more a matter of logistics than personal preference.

Molten Chocolate Cake

Hi,

I know everyone's got one of these on their menu nowadays, but can anyone recommend a place that does one particularly well? Preferably from a bakery or someplace where I can take it home. I'm flexible with location, but the closer to DTLA, the better. A friend mentioned Susina Bakery, but I wanted to see if I could get a few more opinions. Thanks!

Iron chef America- what are they doing? And why?

On Iron Chef Japan, I think you may be lumping Asako Kishi (the "food critic") and Kazuko Hosoki (the "fortune teller") together as one person. Both were regulars on the show, often taking the last seat at the judging table.

Hash browns in Nashville

Just like the title says, looking for a breakfast place with good hash browns, preferably shredded as opposed to cubed or diced. Thanks!

Staples Center Dining

Thanks for the LA Live recs, I'll probably check it out after the game. I'm more interested in something I can eat in the arena or in my seat, though, since time is a major factor that day for me.

Staples Center Dining

I'm going to a Lakers game later this month, and because of time restrictions probably won't be able to eat outside the arena. I was just wondering if there was anything worth going out of my way for at the concessions. I do have premiere level seating in case that makes a difference (Staples' website seems to imply that premier and suite ticket holders have access to more restaurants). Thanks!

Paella

I'm going to Madrid and Barcelona next month and want to have paella but I'm not sure where or in which city. Looking around, it seems that Can Majo and 7 Portes in Barcelona and Restaurante La Barraca and La Buganvilla in Madrid are popular places to go. Can anybody give me a rundown on these places (or suggest a better place)? Thanks!

Graduation dinner spot for ~10 near UCLA?

Any other particulars on what kind of place you're looking for?

If your family likes Japanese, how about Bar Hayama down on Sawtelle? Cozy atmosphere, decent food.

ISO Restaurant(s) Serving Matsutake Mushroom Dishes

I think Providence has matsutake right now, though obviously a little pricey.

Mitsuwa or Marukai markets might have some you can buy and grill yourself.

NYC Chowhound visiting Claremont/Pomona

As a former 5C student, I have to suggest Patty's Mexican Food in the immediate area. They have awesome burritos and make their tortillas fresh by hand.

Viva Madrid is good for Spanish-style tapas, though it is still in the Village.

You must sample Donut Man in Glendora at least once. Their strawberry and peach donuts are the best (although they're probably not making them this time of year anymore).

Victoria Gardens is a shopping center in nearby Rancho Cucamonga. Most of the restaurants there are chain, but there are a few decent places, including King's Fish House, Gyu-Kaku, Kabuki, etc.

Unfortunately, there's not a lot to do in Claremont beyond any college-sponsored events in my opinion. The further you can get away, the better.

Search for the Elusive Fried Clam, Part 4 - Found it!

Tried going to Lawton's today for lunch. Apparently they've been shut down by the Health Department. Luckily I was able to try them a few months earlier, but does anyone know where to get good lobster rolls and fried clams now?
