LYCHEE/INDIAN MANGO SIGHTINGS - PALM BEACH

Anyone know any local farms or stores offering lychees or south asian mangoes in PBC?

saturday lunch spot - miami

I need a hot lunch spot in miami for saturday(s). anything in miami or ft laud works. closer to beach/outdoor dining is important but great food is essential.

lott of places are simply closed for lunch on sat. lemme know whats good!

Leesburg/Lady Lake

Sometimes go here to visit people.

Need good recs to some good places to go there for some grub.

Only criteria is just plain old GOOD food. It could be a shack for all I care....

Been to this thai place near the johnny rockets there in some retirement village which was pretty decent.

Good Indian betw. West Palm & Ft. Lauderdale?

Hands down, The Pelican in Lake Worth.

It is a breakfast/lunch/Diner joint in Lake Worth, but they open every Friday evening and serve Indian cuisine. They do this for fun and the food is simply amazing and it is always PACKED. People wait all week just to hit up this place because they are only opened for such a limited time.

I have been in SoFla all my life, and no place matches this place in the region/state. Its far above the typical brug ull find in chicago/houston and nyc too.

I wish there were dishes to recommend because they are all good. Nihari is always good. You will find some amazing goat/lamb dishes, samosas, etc. Owners are always there on site every night. You are gaurenteed to have a good night.

Oh yeah, did I mention they are a breakfast joint. Amazing wholewheat blueberry panckaes. Ommeltes are to die for too. In the daytime, they do some Indian/American Diner fushion specialities which are DELICIOUS. Try the Keema Ommelete! To die for.

610 Lake Ave.
Lake Worth FL 33460.

check it out. peace.

Palm Beach County closings

I am truly very happy that Rosa Mexicana has closed.

We had dinner there a year or so ago and it was the worst dining expierence I have ever had. The food is not even edible. The mole and sauces were horribly cold. We don't eat pork, and told the server, host, and manager that we dont, and even told them when I called to make a reservation, and during dinner, there was a heapful of chorizo-spiced beans on everyone's plate. The tableside guacamole had hair in it. The shrimp were nearly frozen from the inside....
To add more fuel to the fire, when we asked for the GM, he said that they would "remake" the dishes but at cost equivalent to the price of the dish. We literally walked out, and spent nearly 120 dollars on the most worthless mean ever. We could've fed 120 children in an impoverished country for that much...

Rosa Mexicana...karma is a beautiful thing.
Sorry for the outburst.

Oh yeah, management at the corp. office in NY didnt even respond to our long letter we wrote to them after this incident.

TOP ITALIAN IN FLA

used to go there after work every day last summer...
calamari is to die for...they serve it their in-house sauce which is very light
zuccini frito is amazaing

had the langostines sauted in white wine and lemon butter....beautiful
seafood risoto is melt in your mouth
the filet is probably one of the most beautiful dishes they have and its mouthwatering.

mojitos and capirinas are amazing there as well. served quite elegantly. there is this urugyaing guy at the bar outside...most friendly guy u will ever meet.

Taco "trucks" or roadside stands - WPB, Boca, Delray

TOP ITALIAN IN FLA

[TAMPA] Jai Ho (Report)

West Palm Beach-Just moved here

i think their address is 610 lake ave, lake worth fl, 33460.

they are right in the center of lake worth downtown where all the restaurants are.

New England Style Hot Dog Roll

go to the whole foods in wellington.
their hot dog buns are sick....

West Palm Beach-Just moved here

WPB is good. Go to The Pelican Restaurant in Lake Worth. Its a breakfast joint. There whole wheat blueberry pancakes and ommelletes are to DIE FOR.

Also, they do this thing on Friday nights where they turn the Key Westy shack into a full-fledged Indian dining expierence. They keep it very very very exclusive to one night only and have a small limited yet fresh menu. whatever is fresh is made. Its reasonably priced and a 100% authentic. no if and buts about it. the mood is very casual and the crowd ranges from lake worth hippies to palm beach royalty. very different indeed. and several canadians and foriegners stop by as well because they know pakistani and indian cuisine.

give this a go. 610 lake ave! ask for Tara or Sami when you go!

Delray Beach Area.................off Atlantic Ave!

Listen.

I know you are looking for a high-end meal. My family and I are a big fan of those too.
But my parents found this incredible incredible Thai restaurant. Simply amazing food. End of discussion.

They came upon it when they were waiting outside 5th Avenue Grill, which is right across the street from this place, called Shallots Asian Bistro.

Again, from the outside, it looks like a former Pizza Hut or something. Inside is nothing fancy. But their kitchen is spotless. Their food is fresh, light and simply baller. Owners are always there. From Miramar or something. Have a son and daughter than manage the front. Its decent size from the inside but nothing crazy....just go man.

Had their Green curry the other day. amazing. try the pad thai with fried tofu as well. also told them to make a steamed red snapper with these veggies and it was delicious.

just give it a try, for lunch or dinner...youll thank me later. peace.
other than that, the modern stake house looks good but havent been? and how good is 32 east?
