Any ideas for making beets more palatable?

i've only read a few posts, but i agree with the baking in foil method. after that i like to marinate in good evoo, and nice vinegar, some fresh herbs, salt and pepper. then pop it on my salad with a sprinkle of blue cheese....so good. yellow beets are nice too....

Rao's Lemon Chicken

yes, of course....but check your timing as you said. I have thin cutlet defrosting.....I'll be making a modified version tonight. I was planning on making lemon potatoes, so this will be perfect. Thanks.

i made pizza last night, the brussel spouts sound yumm. tonight was a 2 day marinaded london broil, with a salad of whole wheat pasta, artichoke, moroccan olives, chick peas, baby toms, green pepper, german butter cheese, and romaine lettuce in a lemon, evoo, and oregano dressing. brownies from scratch for dessert.....they were the best part......

Need advice cooking dried beans

do you do anything to the water....salt, drain, etc.? i usually just soak, rinse and cook with success..... i've read that some people salt the soaking water and then thoroughly rinse.........although i do love the canned cannelini especially as a hummus alternative.

Best tea for ICE tea

i mix and match whatever is on hand..always with good results. i don't put any sweetener in so i just go for flavor of the tea. i like white, green, and a fruit based tea mixed. pekoe and berry mixed are nice. depends upon my mood. i boil water, pour into a tea pot, throw in a few bags, and then pop into the fridge. enjoy.

pork chop ideas

the apples and cheddar sound interesting.....as far as sides... i'm going traditional...mashes potatoes, brocolli rabe, salad greens w/apple cider v & o, and baked apples. i do love a breaded chop, but am looking for a little something else.
