Any ideas for making beets more palatable? i've only read a few posts, but i agree with the baking in foil method. after that i like to marinate in good evoo, and nice vinegar, some fresh herbs, salt and pepper. then pop it on my salad with a sprinkle of blue cheese....so good. yellow beets are nice too.... |

yes, of course....but check your timing as you said. I have thin cutlet defrosting.....I'll be making a modified version tonight. I was planning on making lemon potatoes, so this will be perfect. Thanks. |

i made pizza last night, the brussel spouts sound yumm. tonight was a 2 day marinaded london broil, with a salad of whole wheat pasta, artichoke, moroccan olives, chick peas, baby toms, green pepper, german butter cheese, and romaine lettuce in a lemon, evoo, and oregano dressing. brownies from scratch for dessert.....they were the best part...... |

Need advice cooking dried beans do you do anything to the water....salt, drain, etc.? i usually just soak, rinse and cook with success..... i've read that some people salt the soaking water and then thoroughly rinse.........although i do love the canned cannelini especially as a hummus alternative. |

with Easter around the corner my thoughts wondered to deviled eggs. many purists arriving.... any good recipes? also can they be made a day in advance?...i was thinking make the yolks...keep everything seperate until sunday...any ideas. thanks |

i mix and match whatever is on hand..always with good results. i don't put any sweetener in so i just go for flavor of the tea. i like white, green, and a fruit based tea mixed. pekoe and berry mixed are nice. depends upon my mood. i boil water, pour into a tea pot, throw in a few bags, and then pop into the fridge. enjoy. |

please help with vinegar making....it is smelly thanks for all your previous posts regarding vinegar making. i'm roughly two weeks into my project and it smells.....kind of moldy, or sour. i've read posts that say dump it if it smells like furniture polish....it isn't that kind of smell. any advice...do i dump or continue????? thanks |

chick peas, handful of parsley, grate a clove of garlic , squeeze a lemon half, drizzle olive oil, mix. place grilled shrimp on top with some crusty bread, and a glass of wine. |
