City Subs (http://www.chow.com/places/22411) in Park Slope, Brooklyn. This shop is apparently owned by a former sushi chef who makes his subs with the same care as one would use for sushi. He uses the freshest, most flavorful ingredients and is very thoughtful about keeping things that should remain cold (lettuce, tomatoes, etc.) away from things that should remain warm and toasty (bread, cheese, pastrami, etc.) until the last minute. Everything is remarkably clean, too. Best subs ever! |

I'm always very happy with the giant stripe of chocolate found in the pains au chocolate at Tisserie in Union Square: www.tisserie.com Whoops... I was just looking around at some other posts, and apparently Tisserie has closed and/or is moving to SOHO! I heard La Petit Belge is good-- not sure about the pains au chocolat, though. Sorry! |

Dessert spot and/or bakery in Woodside, near Sripraphai I'm going with a large group to Sripraphai next week, and I've been scouring the Board for a place to go afterwards for dessert, be it a bakery, cafe, etc. Ideally, it'd be a place no more than about a 15min walk away. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks! |

Best place to watch the U.S. Open Tennis in Manhattan or Brooklyn Oh, how wonderful! I haven't had my Shake Shack fix yet this summer, so this'll be perfect. Thanks so much! |

Best place to watch the U.S. Open Tennis in Manhattan or Brooklyn I don't have cable (gasp!), and I've got an out-of-town visitor coming who's really into the U.S. Open. Do you know of any bars in Manhattan or Brooklyn that show the Open? I understand it's on USA. Thanks! |
