Recipe for the Swedish pancakes at Copenhagen Bakery in Burlingame
I love the Danish pancakes at Copenhagen in Burlingame. I usually ask for the jam on the side so I can taste more of the crepe. I've tried to make it at home with different crepe recipes but can't get the same texture. Does anyone know what's their recipe?

Where to buy Poffertje Pan
I was experimenting with different pancakes to keep things interesting for the kids when I stumbled upon a recipe for the little Dutch pancake : poffertjes. I made them in regular pans. The result wasn't as puffy and round as the online pictures but the kids inhaled them in no time. I also liked it so much that now I am looking to buy a special poffertje pan. Does anyone know if there's a place in the Bay area that sells these so I can go and pick one up? I saw a couple of places online that sells these. Anyone tried using the cast iron pan versus the nonstick pan?

Looking for some kid friendly restaurant suggestions around Copley. From a search on this board, there're lots of good Italian restaurants on the North end. We'll be staying at a hotel in the Copley area. After a long flight, I'm not sure the kids will be up for the trip to the North end. Any suggestions for dinner places in the area? nothing too fancy. Just good food. The kids are used to Italian, Asian and American food. Thanks.
Where to find purple rice?
Thanks everyone. It was a Korean place that we ate at. I'll try the WF's black rice cause there's a WF's close by. If that doesn't taste the same, I'll get the white rice mixed with black beans the next time I'm around a Korean grocery store.

The family went to a tofu place not long ago where they served purple rice with our meals. Now my daughter keeps asking for purple rice. I didn't find them in our local Ranch99. Where to take husband for his birthday on the peninsula
My husband loves to eat out. With 2 little kids (20 months old and 5 year old), we're somewhat limited in our choices. For his birthday, I'd love to take him somewhere for a nice family lunch or dinner. (Kids will be coming along because we'd like it to be a family event. )He is Hungarian so if there's a recommendation for a Hungarian restaurant, that'll be nice. He also loves crepes and desserts. We live in San Mateo. I'd like to go somewhere within a 15 mile radius. Thanks.
Recipe for mater challaw?
I love Kabul, an Afghan restaurant, in the bay area. I usually order their mater challaw (" Tender chunks of lamb, cooked with sweet green peas, onion, tomatoes, and spices, served with challaw"). I tried to make it at home and since I couldn't find a recipe on line, I tried experimenting and so far, no success. Does anyone have a recipe for this dish? Thanks.
