DTW: Source for raw chicken skins Probably an odd request but I plan on making a bunch of crispy fried chicken skin served with a variety of sauces for an upcoming party. Any suggestions? Tried my local butcher shop Market Place Meats in Waterford to no avail. |

What is your favorite sandwich in Metro-Detroit? Ernie's Market for the best cheapest $5 3 meat/3 cheese sammich ever. Vinnie's Italian Sub Shop for the Italian sub. Get the spicy oil dressing. Jaw Jumbo Burger for the cheeseburger sub. Ricky's Sub Shop for a cheesesteak. |

New York style pizza @ Bronx Deli in Farmington, MI I just got a message from the owner at this location and he says they can no longer make pizza there due to a lease issue with another tenant. That sucks! |

New York style pizza @ Bronx Deli in Farmington, MI I think the only place around here that ever really nailed the true NY style pizza was My Cousin's New York Pizzeria in Bloomfield, now defunct. The owners and chief pizza maker were from Brooklyn and really nailed it. RIP. 112 Pizzeria Bistro seems closer to the NY style than Supino's does in my opinion. But I will agree with you, there are NO places in Michigan that I've ever had that have ever come truly close to replicating a true NY slice. I loathe just about every Detroit style pizza place here, from the chains on down to the "legendary" standbys such as Buddy's, Shield and even Loui's. Give me a thin crust 10" slice I can fold and devour any day over this over glorified dough pie they consider pizza here in this state. |

New York style pizza @ Bronx Deli in Farmington, MI There are a few NY style places around Metro Detroit. Supinos |

New York style pizza @ Bronx Deli in Farmington, MI Just wanted to toss it out there, they do a pretty good version of a small New York style pizza. Sort of a crossover between Fresco Wood Oven and Supinos. Small 12-14" pie, great thin crust, with a crust that I actually continued to eat, good sauce, quality cheese and great pepperoni. Be nice if they made an actual 18" sized pie but for $10 and change out the door, I found this pie to be a perfect dinner option for one or two people. |

Excellent gourmet cheese selection in Richmond, VA? Will be in town for the Christmas weekend and would like to pick up some killer blue cheese and aged cheddar somewhere. Looking for diverse selections. |

Good food relatively close to Ford Field? Bucharest Grill is only a few blocks away. Sit in the attached Park Bar and enjoy a beer with your food. |

Birthday Dinner Around Keego Harbor? Cheers to The Root. Best place to open up out here in the sticks in recent memory. |

New York style pizza @ One Twelve Pizza Bistro - Rochester, MI Carry out and dine in, and working on delivery. I think they just opened in June or July. No beer or wine that I saw, just good pizza. Not sure if the pasta is made in house or not. |

New York style pizza @ One Twelve Pizza Bistro - Rochester, MI Just got my first pie from them today. Absolutely delicious and everything a NY style pizza should be. If they dialed in their crust just a tad bit more they could even rival Supinos in my opinion but what I had today was perfection. They are located in the strip mall south of M-59 on Adams rd. |

Fried Bologna sandwiches in metro Detroit Looks like this new BBQ place in Southfield will have them too. |

"butcher" beef cuts in Michigan? I shop there a couple times a week. I buy pork butts and brisket there by the case and always get great prices. I cannot say I've ever been upset with a purchase from them, and the owner is always on hand to talk with. They can pretty much get you anything you want and it's always fresh, never frozen. Get there early as the crowds can fill up quickly. |

"butcher" beef cuts in Michigan? Marketplace Meats in Waterford is an awesome place to get just about any cut of meat. http://www.facebook.com/MarketPlaceMeats Cattlemans in Taylor is also good too. |

Keego Harbor Specialty Sausage & Charcuterie Co. [DTW] I've had their Italian beef and some of the sausage and found it to be worth the stop. I need to get back and try their cheese-steak next. |

Finally got around to trying it tonight and was very happy with the food. We got take out, I got the Kow Pad Gra Prow while the wife had regular Kow Pad. I also got a side of the spicy chicken wings. I'm not one to elaborate elegantly on the fine details of eating out, but for the money, this was hands down the best Thai fried rice I've got in the Waterford area period. The meats in my rice were hearyy chunks, tender, not gristly, and very flavorful. The chicken wings were enormous, not the typical tiny ones most places offer up, and the sauce on them was absolutely delicious. They also offer of a Laotion menu inside that I didn't see on their printed menu. So long as they keep up the quality, they will get my dollar over all the other local Thai places, including Hot Pepper Thai which has suffered a bit in service and quality lately. |

Good Steak/BBQ/Breakfast Auburn Hills, MI area? I also purposely left out Union Woodshop as I don't think it's worth the wait for the bbq there. It's ok, but I'd rather drive 20 minutes south to Lockharts and be eating in under an hour compared to 2-3 hours. |
|
|
It's been a year since I've last eaten there but if they have maintained themselves per my last visit, it is worth a trip. The server who waited on us had worked there 15+ years and I tipped her very generously. She was on the ball all night long. |

Good Steak/BBQ/Breakfast Auburn Hills, MI area? My last couple of times at RCH have been lackluster. The blue cheese hash browns are still money though. The closest *good* BBQ is Lockharts in Royal Oak, but you could venture north to Lake Orion to Blue Ox BBQ which is sufficiently decent for the money. I know you didn't mention pizza, but Fresco Wood Oven Pizzeria in Rochester Hills is one of the best wood fired pizzas around. It's worth a trip out there, only 10 minutes east of downtown Auburn Hills. |

Whitey's Restaurant in Davison, MI is a few minutes east of Flint, but has some of the best fish and chips around. Great service too. |

Just wanted to add El Granjero and/or Maggie's Kitchen for Mexican. Both are great! Also, as a side note, if you like pinball at all, The Pyramid Scheme has about 15 of them in great shape with an extensive Short's beer tap list. You can bring your own food in too. |

DTW - Taqueria Guadalajara - New in Waterford We're about to move from AH to Troy this year as well. On the bright side, at least there are a lot more food options near Crooks and 75. |
