Why is this Dansk dinnerware so cheap?
They have nice sets for reasonable prices, too reasonable perhaps. They say they import on their website. I'm not knowledgeable of these things, but I suppose it must be because of the backlash from stoneware made in China?

Edit: As this article indicates: http://wildinthecity.ca/2007/11/19/there-is-no-more-lead-in-my-dinnerware-i-think
Dansk apparently makes lead-free products, while many others cannot say this, and yet they are made in Thailand. Being a consumer is hard work these days.
Paderno of PEI any good?
Thanks, Zedeff. I suspected as much. From looking at past posts it seemed as if paderno canada was a cheap imitation-- good to hear that isn't the case.
Paderno of PEI any good?
I know they don't compare with Paderno of Italy, but does anyone have an opinion on this cookware made in Canada?
How about NOT made in China?
Does anyone have a recommendation for stainless steel pots and pans that don't come from asia? I've searched in stores and over the internet, and the only way is to pay a premium for all clad, calphalon one, etc. I'm not interested in any nonstick pan, either. What other alternatives are there?
