Salzburg and Munich for a night each
Thanks everyone for all the recs! We were able to hit up Der Pschorr (super yummy spaetzle) and Weissus Brauhaus in Munich. Beer was great at both places (though I'm no expert). I'll have to keep the other places in mind for the next trip.

Salzburg and Munich for a night each
Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to create a beer tour for him based on these recs with a really good meal in between.
Salzburg and Munich for a night each
Thanks. Very helpful. Do you recommend any particular food?
By any chance do you happen to have recs for Salzburg as well?
Salzburg and Munich for a night each
Going on a weekend trip to Salzburg and Munich for a friend's birthday. We're staying at the Schloss Fuschl Resort & Spa in Salzburg. Has anyone eaten at the hotel? Is it worth it / good for a birthday or is there other places we should go to (and what to order) ? Pretty open, but he doesn't eat red meat.
Any recs in Munich?
Thanks.
Open restaurants near Trevi / Via Condetti in August
Yep. That was my first choice and they are closed. The first guy told me from 8/8 which got me super excited because I thought we could go there. But he told me to call back the next day so I could make reservations and when I did, the guy I spoke to said they are closed from 8/1.
Open restaurants near Trevi / Via Condetti in August
We land in Rome on August 5 and will spend the first day just walking around. Based on my approximate estimate we'll be near the Trevi fountain / Via Condetti area for dinner. But every place I want to go to (from all the yummy reading on this board) that I've called is closed that day. Does anyone have a good rec for a dinner place that'll be open? We're looking for something low key and simple, but good.
Also I really want to go to Gelateria I Caruso post lunch, so if anyone has a great lunch place near there (and that is open), please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
Places to buy Dutch milk used in coffee
I was in Amsterdam and had the most amazing milk to put in my coffee. It's slightly brown in color, very rich (from what I understand they have a very high fat content) and flavorful. Now that I'm home I'd love to be able to purchase it to use on a more regular basis (as my waistline allows). Does anyone know where to get some?
Birthday Dinner - Providence, Ortolan or Melisse
Last year we took my mom to Providence for her birthday and she really enjoyed it. This year, the decision is whether to go back to Providence, or try Ortolan or Melisse. We've never been to either, so I'm wondering what thoughts are of people who've been to all 3? Also, what were the standout dishes?
Thanks.
Food Recs at Grace
I'm taking my family to dinner at Grace next weekend. I'm trying to figure out must orders from the menu. However, alot of the items mentioned (dungeness crab salad, pork tenderloin) on earlier posts aren't on the menu listed on the website. What are some of the items we should definitely try and what should we avoid. I also noticed that we can order the Grace doughnuts in advance and get their special ones if we order a dozen. There will be 6 of us, half of whom are big guys who can easily eat their share. Do you think it's worth it or are their other desserts just as good?
Thanks.
Canton, MS
I'll be in Canton next week and would like some recs for dinner and dessert. I've never been to MS before, so something typically local would be great. I'm open to anything. And even though this is a food specific board, if you happen to know of any great shopping/things to do in Canton, I'd appreciate the suggestions as well.
Thanks!
