Which has better food: Spin or the Ballroom? We are thinking of either Spin (http://toronto.spingalactic.com/) or the Ballroom (http://www.theballroom.ca/) for a birthday celebration. Ping pong or bowling - either is fine with us, however, can anyone comment on the food in both places? I know it's pub style but is one better than the other? |

Thanks! I know Bob's does almond flour/meal but I didn't know that they did hazelnut! |
|
|
Yep! Yonge and Carlton one and they didn't have it. |
|
|
I don't have a spice grinder or food processor to grind the hazelnuts myself so does anyone know where I could find them? |

There are many Korean restaurants on Yonge Street between Sheppard and Finch - does anyone have a recommendation for one that does a good Bi Bim Bap? Thanks! |

Hankering for paella and spanish Iberico I'd recommend the paella from Pimenton. Jose (the chef) made a custom-made paella for us. It was delicious! |

Thanks Dutchgrub. After I posted, I found reference to your blog where my question was answered! Great site, been using it to plan all our meals!! |

We are staying at a Hotel Pulitzer on Prinsengracht. However we don't want to eat breakfast at the hotel (we got the hotel on 'Airmiles', and we don't think we can afford to pay hotel breakfast prices). Does anyone have suggestions on what we can do for a cheaper breakfast, somewhere not to far from the hotel. Even just to be able to sit somewhere and get koffie en gebakje to start the day? |

Went this morning.. Mm was pretty good. Tomorrow will be Aroma! |

I'm wondering where you can go for a really delicious hot chocolate (real whip cream would be a bonus!)? I know Soma has their warm chocolate drink.. but where else can you go? Preferably on the subway line. |

Giant Toblerones....that time of year again I saw them at the Winners in Sheppard Centre - as you walk through the check out line display cases. |

The Keg North York (Sheppard Centre) Thanks everyone! Now need a new place for steak! Obviously I don't go often given the fact the Keg has been closed for a few months! Lol |

The Keg North York (Sheppard Centre) Does anyone know if this Keg location closed down? It doesn't appear on the main Keg website and the phone number is out of service?? Thanks! |

Lol, my brother lives in Rochester and at our last visit he made us G&Ts with the diet in a can. I assumed I could buy it here, obviously I couldn't and thus this post... Well he did ask me what would I like for Christmas... Hmmmm |

The 2L diet tonic I got at No Frills! |

Thanks. I had found that 'mysterious title' when it first was posted but lost it, searched and searched and never found it back. |

YLSF when did this Dealfind offer come up?? I was hoping to get 2 for 1 deal for the show.. Can't believe I missed it! |

I can find regular tonic water in cans and diet tonic water in the 2L bottles but not diet in a can. I've been to Loblaws (Empress Walk) and No Frills (Yonge/Steeles).. no luck. Has anyone seen diet tonic water in cans?? Thanks! |

The restaurant, Quince (Yonge, south of Eglinton) did one in the end of May. They may do one again before the year is out. Get on their email list. The rijstaffel was ok; but nothing compared to what I've eaten in Amsterdam. |

Good gluten-free pizza in Baltimore? Hi JamesPapa, we walked in, found out the additional cost for GF pizza and promptly walked out! Ended up at the Metropolitan Cafe which was close to our BnB! |
|
|
Good gluten-free pizza in Baltimore? Good point! More specific: GF dough that would make you think it's 'regular' dough. I don't care if it's thin/thick/deep. Chewy with substance, not just plan rice flour dough. |

Good gluten-free pizza in Baltimore? hi everyone, Thanks! |

Suggestions for tasty gluten-free pizza crusts? Thanks for the suggestions! I tried the Glutino pizza dough - first time not so good, realized I need to bake the pizza for almost 25 minutes in order for the dough not to be soggy. It is better than the Kinnikinnick! Now to find El Peto, O'Doughs and Udi's - lots of pizza trials in my future! |

Suggestions for tasty gluten-free pizza crusts? I recently tried the Kinnikinnick frozen pizza crusts.. but the crust is too sweet for my taste. Can anyone recommend another prepared pizza crust? |
