Best pub in the Yonge/Eglinton area

Take a look at the Longest Yard on Mt Pleasant and Soudan (I think). It's a more modern space, and should fit what you're looking for.

Suggestions for restaurants around Yonge/Eglinton

Also check out Coquine - http://www.coquinerestaurant.com/

We've had a number of good meals there, and the atmosphere and service are top notch.
If you want to go a little bit east, there are some great restaurants on Mt. Pleasant. For dessert, I'd strongly recommend Il Gelaterie at the corner of Mt. Pleasant and Hillsdale Ave.

Kid friendly in Niagara/NOTL

Thanks for the recommendations guys. Much appreciated. I'll take a look at the Old Winery for sure.

Kid friendly in Niagara/NOTL

Hi all,

My wife and I are meeting up with family in Niagara on the Lake for an early September wedding and would like to take them out to a nice, friendly dinner spot. Kids are 6, 6, and 9 years old, and can meltdown with the best of them when conditions are right. I'lll take my wife for dinner at the Stone Road Grill, but I'm not sure that's the best spot for the whole crew. Any suggestions?

2009 closings

I went into Dizengoff the week it opened to get a feel for the place and pick up a takeout menu. I'm a sucker for good shawarma, and one of their banners proclaimed great shawarma. I spoke to the hostess, and found out that they didn't have any shawarma that day, and that I should call first if that's what I was looking for. Not a good sign. The rest of the menu was sort of pub style, and not Middle Eastern as I had expected.

They really didn't last long at all.

Old Dutch Chips @ College & Spadina

Sobeys is also carrying the Old Dutch lineup in selected stores. I picked up some ketchup chips at the new Leaside location 2 weeks ago, and they were the Old Dutch formula, not HD. I've been craving Old Dutch chips since I moved out east, and at last, they're here.

At home sushi catering

Wow! Thanks all for the great suggestions. I've definitely got some calling to do this weekend.

At home sushi catering

I'd prefer a trained sushi chef.

At home sushi catering

Thanks Lilith. I was thinking of having the chef come and prepare fresh sushi at the house. Maybe have it be a little interactive by showing guests how to prepare, and making items to order. Dr. Sushi may be a good alternative though.

At home sushi catering

I am looking to host a party at our home (in central Toronto), catered with a Sushi chef. From researching local catering companies, I haven't found one that fits the bill. Would chefs from local sushi restaurants be available for such an event, or would you have a better idea of how one would go about this?

My wife is having a milestone birthday this year, and I'd like to make it one to remember.

Thanks in advance
