Antonio's in Ranchos de Taos
I was just getting ready to post my annual "What's new and worth it in Taos" post and saw this thread. It doesn't surprise me that Antonio's is no longer. They just didn't seem to have it together service-wise the last two times I was there, and besides the rellenos with pomegranate seeds (Chile Relleno en Nogada), I wasn't impressed with the food.
So what's new and worth a visit in Taos? We'll be there the weekend of Sept. 21-24 2007.
Regards,
Mike
Tucson Italian Suggestions
Thanks for the suggestions. Vivace is full anyway. We were thinking about Kitt Peak since my friends live down in Sierra Vista. We are definitely going to the desert museum. We really loved the one in Phoenix.
Oh only if we had a few more days and my legs weren't going to be so sore....

Hopefully we can get in early tomorrow night. My friends just gave me the OK.

Thanks you all. 8 miles in a short run for me let alone a drive LOL....
Jeans acceptable at Vicace? Would be here at Frasca even though the majority dress up.

Tucson Italian Suggestions
Hi all,
Heading to Tucson this weekend to run the marathon. I'm looking for upscale Italian in the north part of town near the El Conquistador Hotel. Suggestions?
Also, I'm a big fan of tacos al pastor. We'll have a car so we can drive to wherever- if it's worth it.
While I'm at it, what are the "must see's" as far as touristy things- i.e. Biosphere etc...
Thanks,
Mike

I lived in Western Hills and I think everyone there thought they were in the 'burbs....it's all relative. Thanks for reminding me about Los Amigos. Of the several mexican joints in town I always had a good meal there. Excellent rellenos and green chile. Were you around when the two brothers had the Driftwood Inn? It was probably one of better
Mexican resaurants I've ever eaten at- both brothers ended up running hotel kitchens in Vegas, I believe.
good eats in San Luis or Questa?
Well, we always stopped at Emma's in San Luis on the way down, but apparently they're no more:
