Looking for Tuna Steak Sandwich

I really love the Seared Ahi Tuna Burgers at both locations of:
Home Restaurant in Los Feliz & Silver Lake

Lot 1 in Echo Park also has a pretty good one although I can't remember what kind of Tuna it was (not Ahi) and it was cooked thoroughly and not seared

Good restaurants with great deals in tough times?

My boyfriend and I have been obsessed w/Elena's Greek Armenian restaurant on Glendale Blvd. in Glendale. Since my boyfriend doesn't eat red meat, we usually order a combination plate w/ground chicken lula and chicken kabob. We'll also get a side order of Falafel which comes w/hummus so we don't have to order a seperate side of it. The falafels are by far the best I've ever had, and the meat is well seasoned and juicy. Even though we split everything, I can still barely finish my plate. We'll share everything and it comes out to a whopping $12. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Just make sure to check the math when you receive your bill. It's hapenned twice where the total made me do a double take, after checking the math, I noticed it was totally wrong. I don't think its anything shady, its just that one of the waitress's there isn't all that math savvy :)

The Seafood Village and The Lobster place on

I remember eating there almost 10years ago. I had been really curious about the place for a while and then I finally stopped in to have some seafood. I can't remember what I ordered, but I do remember being extremely disappointed. I've been wondering if I should give it a try again, considering that 10 years ago I wasn't nowhere near being the chowhound that I am now.

I usually go to The Boiling Crab for my seafood fix. YUM!!!

Keep me posted, I'd be curious to try that place again.

Any rec's for a great dinner in Brea, Ca?

just wanted to say thank you all for all of your recommendations.
we ended up going to dinner at taps, and I have to say the food was excellent.
I ordered a grilled halibut on a bed of goat cheese risotto with some kind of sweet hollandaise sauce. YUM. and my mother in law ordered the crab legs which were amazingly soft and scrumptious. I have to say though that it was alot more than we wanted to spend...but oh so worth it.

Any rec's for a great dinner in Brea, Ca?

thanks so much everyone for the rec's. just for curiousity sake, are there any good seafood restaurants with killer crab legs?

Any rec's for a great dinner in Brea, Ca?

Hi All,

This Sunday I'm going to see my one of my favorite comedian's Lisa Lampanelli in Brea, CA. I'll be driving down from Echo Park and I'm in search of a moderately priced dinner for my family and I. I am totally open to any kinds of food, just so you can get a feel of what I'm into, here are some of my favorite places in my neck of the woods.

1. Cafe Beaujolais in Eagle Rock
2. Mario's Peruvian in Hollywood
3. Soot Bull Jeep in K.Town
4. Bernie's Teriyaki on Glendale Blvd.
5. Mi Piace in Pasadena

Any suggestions in or around Brea, CA would be extremely helpful. Thanks so much, pumpsandminis
