How to wow on a budget

Make your own salad dressing- that alone will wow- bottled just doesn't do it. Marinate a flank steak, grill and slice thin, roast some asparagus in the oven and have some dessert you know will please.

So, Even if You Eat Out, Are You Tipping Less?

I am tipping the same- usually 20% - we are going out a little less but looking for deals - like certificates for $30 dollars for $15.75- we still tip as if $30.

What's on your cookbook wishlist?

I must say I have over 100 cookbooks and 30 years of Bon Appetit which I plan to get rid of soon. I liked the Good Times Cookbook better than the Silver Palate. I like Tyler Florences Ultimate book and alot of the others mentioned here. At least I don't feel all alone here in my passion!

Pre-concert meal at home for 10

Are you looking for casual- if so I have a really good easy potato salad that you can make Friday night. Have you ever baked a whole bologna- sounds gross but great for a casual luncheon- if you are going more gourmet I am sure I could offer some other ideas.

Cooking Classes in Oahu or Maui

I will be traveling to Oahu and Maui next summer (ok I am a planner) and would like to take a local cooking class or two. I don't know if any cooking shops or restaurants have one. I am looking for a one session class. Any recommendations will be appreciate.
