Venezuelan Food (Cachapas -- Where Have You Been All My Life?) I too just recently had a cachapa and I think it is absolutely delicious. The sweet corn cakes with chicken, salad, and cheese is the perfect combination of sweet and salty. Cachapas can be made with your choice of any meat or just vegetables. The place that I had it, makes the corn cakes fresh in front of you. It is location on Dyckman Street but since there aren't a lot of places that make great cachapas, it is worth traveling for. The dish is big and extremely heavy but it is so good you will be able to eat the entire thing. Here is the link, http://cachapasymasnyc.com. |

Need the best cupcakes and Carrot cake My favorite is crumbs because I equally like the frosting as well as the cake. Second would be magnolia and billy's. |

Thanks fooodie for your recommendation of UMI for everyday sushi. It was just what I was looking for. Plus, not only are they fresh but they give you so much. Loved the roles! |

I am looking for more great but affordable sushi places. I like to have sushi a few times a week but can't afford ushiwakamura, yasuda, sushi seki, and sasabune all the time. However, I rather not eat sushi if it is not really fresh and tasty. My local sushi placae was Mishima but they are not as good any more since they changed their sushi chef. Any suggestions. |

How did you like Perilla and Mas Farmhouse? Have you tried Buddakan? If you haven't go there next. I also love Ocena. |
