The Best Restaurants of Buenos Aires 2008

I also love 647 Dinner Club but there is one thing that you did not mention...the great cocktails that they serve there. I went twice and the second time i almost forgot to eat as i got totally mesmerised by the drink selection!
Anothert place i love is Pobre Luis, which is a great Parilla in Belgrano, very few tourists even though it is very well known. I had the most incredible Provoleta there.

Well i suppose like beauty, good restaurants really are in the eye of the beholder. I actually ate at Pura Tierra in Belgrano on my my previous trip(2007)and while being a good experience and an interesting place to visit it did not strike me as anything out of this world.
647 Dinner Club for me was something very different to all the other almost identical restaurants that exist in Buenos Aires and for me Pura Tierra comes into that category..good but more of the same.
When was the last time you ate in 647??

647 Dinner Club in BsAs

Hey NYCkid,
I discovered 647 from this site when i was recently in Buenos Aires. If you go, which i would really recomend, please order the Lamb...it is AMAZING! The flavour was absolutely incredible and it was cooked perfectly. What i really liked about this place was that it was totally different from any of the other places where we ate.The style, atmosphere and of course what matters the food wa really impressive.
Its sort of interesting and i wonder if its about kick backs or lack of but we stayed in a really up market hotel and they were recomending us places that where tired 2 years ago and not recomending good new places....which as 647 proves obviousely exist.

Traveling to Buenos Aires, Salta, and Iguacu...

I went to 647 Dinner Club which i found out about from this site and it was really amazing. Stunning decor with food to match. I subsequently discovered it is in this years Conde Nast Hot Table 2008 as one of the best new restaurants in the world and it really lives up to its reputacion.

Buenos Aires Top Ten Restaurants

Thanks, thanks and thanks again Jenky for your tip on 647 Dinner Club. We were staying at the Alvear Palace for the third year in a row and somewhat dissapointingly where given almost the same restaurant recomendations from the concierge as from our previous visits. Basically Casa Cruz, Cabana Las Lilas etc., etc...I actually asked about any new good places and my request was met by an almost blank look before i was directed to another well known but slightly newer place in Palermo.
Well through Chow hound we made a desicion to take a risk and go to 647 Dinner Club which i can say that it was the best dining experience we have had in the city. The menu is an excelent mix of tradional plates with a modern twist. Great presentation and they obviousely use the best products. Also almost as a side issue after the great food, the place looks totally stunning. Its web site is www.club647.com.
