What is the best Indian restaurant in LA?
It was mentioned above, but just I just went there tonight and must say this was an impressive find. It's very easy to miss, but obviously many people knew about its existence as it was bustling on a Sunday evening.
I'm not an expert on Indian food, but having eaten Indian food from the Bay Area (Fremont, Berkeley, Sunnyvale) and Nepal, this is pretty solid. Best I've had so far in Southern California.
I have been craving for good korma for some time and found India's Grill does a good job. The mint chutney was excellent--surprisingly but pleasantly spicy. Best of all, the restaurant was cleanly and not pretentious. I would and will recommend to all of my friends.
Awesome breakfasts in LA, I can name two. How about you?
The Devil's Daydream at the Griddle Cafe. Chocolate french toast. Consistently wonderfully delicious.
I don't like the pancakes at the Griddle Cafe either, but this french toast beats everything hands down.
Where can I find the best fried chicken?
oooh...Honey Kettle chicken is SO good. The breading is so crunchy. Their sides are amazing. Last I remember, even their fries were amazing. The biscuits were awesome there too.
Going back up a few replies, Korean fried chicken is also very tasty. They take a rotisserie chicken and flash fry it. The result: Lightly crispy skin, with moist and juicy meat. Roll it up in a dumpling skin (dduk boh ssahm) and dip it in a sweet chili sauce. Goes well with a light beer. To die for...drool
