Best meal I ever ate:

was one that i had no expectations for. One that just kind of surpises me and catches me off guard. These tend to be the best meals.

My "Go-to" dinner party dish:

informal is my roasted garlic and fresh ricotta stuffed shells. More formal tends to vary. Also big on making my own pita chips and serving assorted homemade dips and marinated olives

My favorite comfort food:

Is a pot of Coq Au Vin that's been labored over. or smoking my own ribs.

My top 5 favorite restaurants:

Still working on this list. I'm the type that thinks there's ALWAYS something better to be had out there.

My most tattered cookbooks:

I consult a bunch of cookbooks regularly. But in general don't follow directions well. I get a basis for a dish and wing it, often with great results. Sometimes, though, dinner winds up in the trash and a pizza is ordered.
