What to order at Slanted Door and Michael Mina
i think the quality at Slated Door has gone down ine th past 3-4 years. i avoid it unless it's a work related dinner. Shaking Beef might be the only think that i would consider to be OK. Personally, I prefer Betelnut (if you're in the mood for americanized Veitnamese / Pan Asian food).

479 Popcorn
I guess the secrete is out. I found out about 479 popcorn via another blog recently and ordered i think "globe traveler" sample box. OMG. wow... I never had popcorn like that before. black truffle and aged white chaddar popcorn? it SO good and addictive. dang, i'd have to dedicate a portion of my disposable income to this new addiction...but so worth it.
