early-not necessarily brunch-options in Park Slope? I'm looking for somewhere to have an early-ish breakfast around fifth avenue and 4th street on this morning around 9:30-10. Most brunch places don't open until 10:30. Does anyone have any suggestions? Something a step above a diner is what I'm hoping for. Thanks in advance. |

What's on the other side of the Park? (Ditmas, Lefferts, Windsor...) Wow, that is really rude. That is terrible that you were treated that way. What happened to your friends? I just had lunch there today, which was fine except that they didn't have any lime to go with my tortilla soup. How can you serve tortilla soup without lime? I agree its gringo Mexican, which can be okay in and of itself, but if they are going to be nasty to the neighbors, then I can't see spending my dollars there. |

Just moved to Emeryville - any recs? Is Lois the Pie Queen still open in Emeryville? I'm in Brooklyn, but I love that place. |

My husband and I are having our annual party in January. We usually make something large and hearty to serve. Last year it was cochinita pibil (a yucatecan roasted pork). The year before that it was Coq au vin made with Reisling. Looking for something equally delicious that can be made to serve 40 or so people. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance |

My parents are coming to NYC to celebrate their 30th anniversary and want to take a large crowd (maybe 8-10) people out for seafood. They are looking at Esca, Aquagrill, maybe Estiatorio Milos? Any thoughts on these places or other recommendations? Thanks in advance. |
