Avedanos vs Drewes?
Thanks for the Bi-Rite suggestion... I love the market but usually just run in for sandwiches and snacks.
Mitchell's ice cream, SF report
both coconut flavors are worth a try ( cannot remember their official names, but one is "baby" and the other one ... not baby?) Anyhow -the best flavored coconut ice cream i have had, not necessarily the best texture.
tried cantelope and thought it was interesting...
has anyone tried the gelato place on 9th ave just south or irving? that is one of my far and away favorites... they also have a coconut, as well as other flavors - all the ones ih ave tried have been great
Avedanos vs Drewes?
hm... cant say I have been to Bryans, but will give it a shot next time i'm nearby. thanks!
why do you think theirs is fresher than the others? do they do more volume?
Avedanos vs Drewes?
Here's the reason for my question... I am in a baby back ribs, um, phase?, and... I found the ribs at Drewes to be more delicious. It was shocking, I am a total fan of avedanos, but... after 2 tries at Avedanos - the Drewes ribs were just much meatier and just right.
At both places I have generally had great experiences with service, product and selection. Also, although I'd heard Drewes was expensive, i found it totally reasonable ( disclaimer: i relocated from NYC/BK a year ago so affordable is relative) - as I did Avedanos.
So - I started to wonder if each one had certain things - cuts or types of meat/fish - that was noticeably better than the other. I still shop at both, just curious if other people have noticed something like this
Any place selling a good TG stuffing/dressing?
buying stuffing - i highly recommend! last year we bought instead of making it - save a TON of time, didn't cost much extra than all the ingredients would have (did the math - maybe $5-10 total) and was better than anything homemade. this was in NYC thought so now i need an SF source. any of the groceries have good stuff? whole foods maybe?
