NIU ROU SHAO BING
it's really easy to make and the shao bing is available at Ranch99 markets in the refrigerated sections. I think you can buy the soy sauce beef in their ready made foods section, too. just warm up the beef, put the shao bing in the toaster, slice the beef and the shao bing, make a sandwich and add a little sesame oil to it. you can also add some scallions if you like. that is the traditional way to eat this. tastes good with lamb cooked the same way as the beef. I don't know what restaurant has it, cause I just usually make the meat myself and buy the shao bing.
Bukhara Cuisine of India in H.B. review
glad you enjoyed it! I'm gonna have to go back soon.
Indian Restaurant near Beach and Edinger?
I love love love the samosas! and the chicken vindaloo, if you like a little spicy. and bubbles is right about the garlic naan! delish! I also really love the mango lassi. but if I get that, I can only eat a samosa. otherwise I get too full! the portions are big! it's a great value. I've moved from OC into LA, so I don't get to go there often and I miss it!

they have THE best turkey meatball sandwich. they warm warm up the meatballs, fill the bread, top it with cheese, and pop it in the oven to toast the bread and melt the cheese. it's delicious! I moved the LA several months back and I miss that sandwich. if you like coconut, get the coconut cake. it's brilliant!

hi, everyone! I'm moving jobs from costa mesa to el segundo. any recs for lunch there? I'm looking for healthy and good. also, any places that have a great salad bar in that area? I'm used to going to Irvine Ranch Market for food and fruit down here. oh, and I'm going to be working off the 105 just after you get off the 405. thanks in advance for all of your help!

has anyone tried Davio's in the target lot off of Beach? just wondering if it's any good.
[DFW] Mr. Wok in Plano
I went to Mr Wok back over christmas. my sister in law wanted duck. for the most part, it was pretty good. nothing like my dad cooks it though. they carve the duck for you at the table. the bing was a little thin for my taste, but I'm used to my parents cooking. after they carve the duck, they take the bones and make soup. the soup was really good! the duck itself was ok, but a little light on flavor and a little tough. but, we'd probably go back if dad doesn't feel like cooking... lol.
italian in irvine, costa mesa, santa ana, tustin?

Real Food Daily
real food daily is pretty good and I'm not vegan. try the tacos if you're a first timer there. the hummus is ok too. not the best, but not bad.
Dim Sum at Triumphal Palace (review + pics)
the sweet sesame ball looks good! those are similar to the sesame balls you boil in water for a soup. the flavor of the black sesame is wonderful! the dough is most likely made from rice flour. yum!
In Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, Orange...relaxed eclectic......
I second Habana. whenever my friends come down from LA, I always take them there. yummy food and pretty good sangria
Szechuan Tofu?
traditional ma po dofu has no veggies. it is ground pork, fermented black beans, garlic, hot peppers, and bean paste. it's my favorite. my mom (she's from sichuan provence) used to make it all the time. mine doesn't come out as well so I like to try places that have it.
Szechuan Tofu?
is this authentic ma po dofu? I've been to places that put peas and carrots in theirs. gross. just wondering. thanks!
hamburger habit review
SF Saloon also has great grilled chicken nachos. but you have to make sure to order grilled chicken or you get this nasty spicy chicken stuff.
