Dallas restaurants with low calorie options

All are great suggestions. My plan is to visit all of them. Have been to Rise and to Seasons 52, but didn't know Rise had gaspacho. The vegetarian restaurants might be my new go-to places. Appreciate the help. Thanks so much everyone!

No, I'm looking for a nice place where the menu is broad and you can make good choices. Trying to remember where I've seen gaspacho on the menu .. I know there is always sushi, or salads.

Looking for a lunch place where they serve gaspacho and other items where you can get a healthy and low calorie lunch. Any suggestions?

Southwest corner Preston/Frankford New restaurant?

We ate there the first week it was open. The food is quite good, we sampled everything for breakfast, and the grits were amazing. The only hitch is that everything is a la carte -- an omelet is served with nothing else on the plate. It made it an expensive breakfast.

toddler friendly but food worth eating - Park Cities/Preston Hollow

We're off to Atlanta tomorrow to visit our kids and grandson. We will be taking two kids, ages 3 and 4 1/2, to dinner and lunches. Any suggestions for kid-friendly places that are not just pizza? Our kids live in Buckhead.

toddler friendly but food worth eating - Park Cities/Preston Hollow

The Purple Cow at Preston and Royal caters to children but is also good for adults. They have possibly the best cobb salad I have found anywhere. And they make their own salad dressings. The draw is the purple ice cream. It is totally geared to kids, but has a very large adult menu, as well. We take the grandchildren there all the time. There is also a newer one in Plano.

Need restaurants on I-20 (Dallas to Atlanta)

What a cool place ... love those places with a history. Love the recipes posted on their website and the history. I am taking this information with us. I can already taste the food. Let's hope timewise it works for this trip. Thanks so much.

Really appreciate your suggestions. I'm taking them with me. Also tried to post my question on central south board. We make this trip a lot, so it's exciting to have new places to try.

Need restaurants on I-20 (Dallas to Atlanta)

We're driving to Atlanta from Dallas - any decent restaurants along I-20?
Looking to eat healthy along the way .. and really don't want to go too far from the highway or eat in McDonalds, Subway, etc. (unless there is nothing else around). Thanks!!

10 best things to eat in Dallas

I couldn't agree more about feeling rushed at Javier's .. on a recent Saturday night, we were in and out of the restaurant in 45 minutes. It was rushed service, and on a Saturday night, one likes to linger over a meal. The food isn't good enough to be rushed like that. Won't go back.

Plano/Richardson Italian Recommendations

We were blown away by the food at Fino's Italian Bistro. After going to the usual places over and over, a few "foodies" recommended Fino's. Aside from great pricing, the food is just outstanding. I had the best veal piccata bar none at this neighborhood bistro. It was better than some dishes I've had at very expensive continental restaurants.

Dallas / Fort Worth Restaurants

Ronald,

We are from Los Angeles originally and miss the wonderful Chinese, Italian and deli food food we had there. But Dallas has become a good eating town compared to what it was 40 years ago, when there were four Chinese restaurants. Here are my suggestions:

Deli: Deli News is very good, Zinsky's is opening up in Preston/Royal on Monday. Roasters is okay, opinions are mixed on it. Nothing here will be like New York deli.

Italian: We love Two Guys from Italy, located at Webbs Chapel and Forest Lane in N.W. Dallas. It's been a staple for years, great food, funky atmosphere, very well priced.

Chinese: Try Royal China in Preston/Royal. Excellent food and good atmosphere. Another one in Plano is Yao Fuzi, excellent food but more upscale. Your best bet are the restaurants at North Central Expressway and Belt Line (east side of Central), where there is an Asian area of restaurants and markets.

Good luck.

Cuban food in Dallas?

Try Cubanita on McKinney Ave. in Uptown; we babysat tonight while our kids went to Cubanita. We got a glowing report - our son lived in Miami for three years and developed a passion for Cuban food. He has tried all the Cuban restaurants in Dallas and was very impressed with Cubanita.
