When I'm terribly upset I make duck ala orange- not so much the end result as the complicated manuvering that soothes. Must have v. rummy trifle at Christmas.

Sammy's Roumanian is best for birthdays.

Anything Nigel Slater. However, my best recipe for wrangling a T-bone came from a webcomic cookbook (Achewood).
