Reservation at Club Chasse et Peche

Great advise, this is very helpful.

Reservation at Club Chasse et Peche

So the wife and I have a reservation at Club Chasse et Peche. Looking for suggestion in how best to approach the dinner (menu, wine pairings, other suggestions) Rather general question I realize but any insights before we spend a bunch of money would be appreciated.

Foodie locations between border and Montreal

Great info. I did not realize Lacolle has a Charcuterie! Chowhound never fails to amaze me. Sorry I couldn't be more specific in my original post, I was just looking for some broad guidelines and the answers were great.

Foodie locations between border and Montreal

For years we've been traveling from Vermont to Montreal in search of good food. We enter Canada from I-89 North. On my recent trip I began wondering if we're not missing something between the border and Montreal? I know this is rather broad, but are there any recommendations for foodie type stops north of the Vermont border and south of Montreal?

Two day agenda for biking and eating in Montreal

This is all very helpful, many thanks.

Two day agenda for biking and eating in Montreal

We're pretty familiar with Montreal, but have yet to take advantage of the bixi bike. Actually, we've never biked ever in Montreal and just recently started using the public transportation. Late April or early May we'll stay at the Inn at Old Montreal and would like to take on the city via bike. Looking for advice on a solid two day agenda.

The best (non-tourist) seafood restaurants in Boston proper, please.

Call it what you want. But I'm a big fan of Island Creek Oyster Bar. The oyster sliders are amazing.

Humane, sustainable charcuterie?

Keep an eye on Pete Coleman at Vermont Salumi. Boys got game and is going to do some great things.

Is there a new China town?

We recently had a great meal at Maison du Nord. Our friend who recommended it, said it was in the "new china town". Is there such a thing?

Dinner and breakfast recommendations

Wow, I thought I'd check back in a couple of days and one or two people would have responded. Thanks for the input. We'd already decided to have our culinary adventure before the show (we're not late night people to be honest). There's lots of great suggestions here but little regarding an early Sunday breakfast spot, maybe that will stir up more conversion!

Dinner and breakfast recommendations

My wife and I are attending the Wilco concert (Olympia de Montreal) on Saturday Febuary 28th. We will be staying at the Inn at Old Montreal. We are looking for a dinner recommendation which is not Au Pied de Conchon (been there, done that). We were considering Lemeac for the after 10 p.m. menu. But we are open to other suggestions, also a good breakfast the next morning.

Fiesta des cultures de Saint-Remi (Mexican and Guatemalan Festival)

Thank you so much for this post, I work with two Guatemalans on my farm in Vermont. One of them has two brothers working in the St. Remi area, we will be attending the festival on Sunday. It will be nice to celbrate the culture as opposed to forcing it underground like we do in this country.

staying in montreal with a kid

We frequent Montreal often, usually eat at Au Pied De Conchon go to the Jean Talon Market, etc. This time we'll be traveling with our 9 mos. old and staying at the Chateau Marriott, dowtown. Looking for recommendations in that area, something easy with a kid.

renting a house in austin

We are a couple with a one year old kid. We're interested in renting a house in Austin, Jan. or Feb. of 2010. Our primary interest is food (street, markets, good restaurants), followed by culture and music. The question is which general area should we be looking?
