Cajun Turkey at Popeyes
I had lunch today at Popeyes and had the crawfish with cajun rice and noticed the ad for Cajun Turkey. I guess you can order a 11 lbs bird for 29.95 including sides before Thanksgiving. It's rubbed with Cajun spices and all you do is heat and serve. Has anybody bought this for their Thanksgiving dinner in the past? Was it a real Cajun style, deep fried Cajun Turkey that just needs to be reheated?
Vegetarian restaurants near Silverlake/Los Feliz
Viet Noodle Bar in Atwater Village makes a good whitfish sandwich. They also have vegetarian options and I believe they make their own soy based drinks.

Peruvian Food: Los Balcones del Peru, Mamita's and Mario's
Puro Sabor in Van Nuys. Their fish dishes are good.
Banana Leaf
On a side note, I'm sure you guys saw Anthony Bourdain's Singapore episode on the Travel Channel. That scene where Mr.Bourdain was "drinking' that bone marrow through a straw was too much!
VEGETARIAN FOOD NEAR KOREATOWN
I don't think there's any strictly Vegetarian restuarants in Koreatown anymore. There was an all you can eat Korean Restuarant on Wilshire and Wilshire place a couple years ago, but the owners decided to change the menu to a more typical Korean place with meat dishes.
Slighty outisde of Koreatown is Pure Luck on Heliotrope and Melrose. I haven't been there in awhile , but I did like their BBQ Sandwich made from jackfruit with sweet potatoe fries. If you're still hungry, walk across the street and go to scoops where they serve ice cream with some vegan options as well..

wat dong moon lek noodle
I've been there once, and had the Hainan Chicken, availble in large or small portions. Pretty good and cheap 6.50, I think. Just a few blocks from my house, worth it for the locals who are too lazy to schlep over to Thaitown a couple miles or so away.
Where can I get authentic Sichuan Hot Pot?
Jonathan Gold mentioned this place in last week's LAWeekly:
Sugar Spice Cafe in San Gabriel

South Bay Thai, Indian, and/or American-Chinese Restaurants that you go to often
Growing up in Carson, Torrance was the destination for Americanized Chinese Food. Hong Kong Gardens & Golden Pheasant both accross the street from Harbor -Ucla Hospital were the prime destinations for me & my family. I think Michelle Kwan's family used to own Golden Pheasant. I think these two Restauarants are stil around, but I doubt if they're still good as they used to be. The other place was Ding How's on Carson & Cabrillo just down the way. I think this Restaurant closed down many years ago.
Dinner close to Home Depot Center?
The Doubletree Hotel (literally right off the 405) in Carson has a Lounge and Restaurant. Can't vouch for the place since I've never been there. You can check out the menus from this link:

Dinner close to Home Depot Center?
I agree with ogawak , Carson has no decent places to eat. Sadly, the only Restaurant that fits your criteria but not in the food dept, is Chili's Grill & Bar at the South Bay Pavilion formerly known as the Carson Mall.

Thanks guys, I've been to Empress Pavillion before, and I think that will be the perfect place.
Kid Friendly Restraunt for Party of 20 in Downtown L.A. area?
My sister is having a get together for my 2 year old Niece's Birthday on June 13th and was wondering if there are any Kid friendly restaurants in the Downtown Los Angeles area. It's gonna be about 20 people with Kids and the Restaurant can not be too expensive. Open to any type of cuisine, but prefer the usual Chinese,Mexican, Japanese, etc. Thank in advance for any suggestions.
Hollywood Thaitown
Spicy BBQ for their namesake, the Thai style BBQ Pork. Comes with a fabulous dipping sauce. They serve Northern style cuisine. It's on the corner of Santa Monica & Normandie, right next to the Armenian Falafel place.
L.A HOTDOGS
Every Friday, there's a Farmer Market at the Wilshire/Vermont Red Line Station and a stand sells them. Personally havent tried it though.

Good eats near USC
"Called the 23rd St. Cafe, it's on the corner of 23rd St and Portland. If you are heading east on Adams, it is the second left after Hoover. It looks like some weird deli, but in fact it has some of the BEST INDIAN FOOD I've tasted in LA. Cheap, delicious, generous portions -- order in and sit outside, the food is cooked to order and served on large metal platters. Enjoy, and tell others!"
Isn't there another Indian Restuarant on Vermont next to an Indian Market? It used to be all Vegetarian, but I think they now have meat dishes. I've only eaten there a couple times, but I forgot the name.

I think Local is a great addition to the neighborhood. As the name implies, Local strives to serve food sourced nearby, and their output is tasty, non-fussy and reasonably-priced. The patio is lovely. Sunset & Silverlake

Lola's-Best Roast Chicken in Los Angeles?
The spicy green sauce is known as "Aji" The BEST peruvian roast chicken is Pollo Ala Brasa
* Pollo A La Brasa Western - duplicate
764 S Western Ave Los Angeles CA
I agree , the best in Koreatown. If you grab the Peruvian Newspaper in the restaurant, you'll find other places that serve Rotiserrie Chicken. Anybody try those yet?
Zankou Chicken
Last time I went, which was ages ago, my chicken was rather dry. I didn't eat most of it. I perfer Al wazir's a mile or so further west if I'm in the neighberhood.Although these days , when I want Roisserie, it's always Peruvian & the best of course, is Pollo La Brasa on 8th & Vermont.
South St. CheeseSteak-input?
I've only eaten at Philly's Best in Burbank, so I can't reccomend in comparison. They make some good cheesesteaks though. I always order a side of Tastycakes to complete the Philly experience. The Propietors are always nice too. Make sure you get a sandwich card on your first visit. The Glendale location is supposed to open soon, so that will be closer to me then Burbank.
Fav. mediocre eats (inspired by bianca pizza thread)
I enjoy the Food Court at the USC Village.Particulary the Thai & Korean joints. I recommend the mango chicken & the pork shortribs at the Thai stall & the bulgogi & Kim Chee Fried Rice at the Korean stall right accross . There's other food stalls that serve Chinese, Mongolian, Indian,Japanese, Middle Eastern,Pizza, etc. but haven't tried those places yet.
