FORT MYERS, CAPE CORAL -- Need recommendations for TOP PICKS

Brew Babies is the Cape's best kept secret IMO. Love the decor and atmosphere, the menu is relatively limited but everything is top noch. The lamb was delicious without being tough or gamey. I've eaten a few other things off the menu as well but can't remember exactly what, but I've always found everything to be delicious. Great champagne, wine and port too. The owner is always around keeping an eye on everything, chatting with regulars. His wife and son sing and play instruments adding to the atmosphere. I recommend you give it a try!

Florida Keys in April

Hi there, two of my favorite places to eat in the keys are Lorelei and the Fish House.

Lorelei has a good selection of food and drinks in a fun outdoor bar on the water. The winner is the key lime pie which is served frozen - we stop to get this pie on every trip to Key West.

The Fish House has delicious fresh fish dishes and key lime pie. I highly recommend the Matecumbe!

BEST REUBEN - Try Oasis in Fort Myers near downtown, best one i've had in the area

ITALIAN - Yabo all the way! I'm not sure if it's really classified as true Italian, but I had some fantastic gnocchi there. Also I recently had a great Italian meal at Cibo. I've heard great things about Geo's in the Cape but haven't tried it yet.

Hoping to thaw at Key West during weekend: any breakfast joint recs?

I live a few hours drive and visit Key West frequently. I've tried most of the breakfast spots and my two can't-miss recommendations are: Blue Heaven and Camille's

If the weather is nice, go to Blue Heaven hands-down! The food is delicious (try the seafood benedict or the pancakes-- ooh and the mimosas if you drink!) and the atmosphere is pure Key West. Be prepared to sit on plastic benches surrounded by roosters and kitchy decor, hopefully the band will be playing. (I tried posting a pic but it won't let me..) You'll see lots of tourists but lots of locals as well, usually hanging out in the bar area. The crowd can get a little rowdy and fun, even at breakfast. Last time I was there a rooster attempted to mount a hen and the entire restaurant started hooting and hollering LOL. Oh ya, and this place is extremely popular so be prepared to wait awhile to get in!

My second choice is Camilles. The food is incredible, maybe even better than BH, but it is lacking the wacky Key West atmosphere that Blue Heaven has. I usually get the benedict here but they also have pancakes with godiva chocolate, etc. It's still a fun place and a "classier" but nice atmosphere. Sometimes you have to wait awhile and sometimes you get right in.

Columbia, SC - dinner suggestions post-football?

I have to second the suggestion for Mr. Friendlys! I eat here every time I find myself in Columbia. I haven't tried their wine but if it's half as good as their food it'll be a nice experience. The outside patio is a great atmosphere on a nice day- I've never eaten inside but it looks nice online.

Need catering for Wedding in Fort Myers area? HELP!

My friend is getting married in June and looking for catering service for her wedding. She is on a budget and wants to serve tapas, hors de'oeuvres or sushi instead of a buffet or sit-down meal. She would rather have less food, but top quality. She is interested in Blu Sushi but I'm guessing they're out of her price range. Does anyone have any suggestions?
