Organic Produce Box Delivery
we just started with Auntie Em's Organic Delivery. We absolutely love it. We have signed up for the weekly, but they have bi-weekly and monthly also. If I am not mistaken I think they do a one time drop off-a gift like thing. Look on the website, there is a bunch of info. www.auntieemsdelivery.com The produce is local, organic and seaonal-all three of what i was desperately looking for, and could find one or two with other services but not all three. The box also comes with recipes for the produce in the box as well as areally well put together description. You can tell alot of thought has gone into this service. We love it.

Oh my god the biscquits and gravy sound so good. I have not had them there yet. I usually am a sucker for the scrambles. The breakfasts are so good. We bring our dog and sit outside. It is usually the highlight of my week.
Wedding Caterer
We have a lot of parties catered, and have used Auntie Em's several times. The food is always delightful. It is very much comfort food which is what we love. They also do seasonal menus. We used Duxbury once, and they were very ordinary. The Kitchen for Exploring Foods seem very expensive, and unless you are having a giant event, don't seem to interested.
Thanksgiving...
We have ordered Thanksgiving dinner for pick up at Auntie Em's in Eagle Rock the last 2 years, and it was great. The turkey was moist, and one of the sides was roasted brussle sprouts, and they were my favorite! We have tried Whole Foods before, and its was just o.k.
Spitz of Eagle Rock (Doner Kebab) Review
I love Spitz. There sweet potato fries are to die for. I have not really every waited too long at all for my food. I go at lunch though. On the other hand I dont mind waiting for food that is good and made to order.
Citrus dessert in Eagle Rock, Los Feliz, or Glendale
It always seemed to me that Flor Morena kept them around way too long. I always have really tasty and fresh desserts from Auntie Em's.

Yes, I do get it. I'm looking at the big picture here. How can anyone bag on a place that serves freshly prepared food, for a really good price? You are bummed that they charge .50 for somthing extra that does not come with the meal. They absolutely should. It costs them money to buy it.

Cliffs Edge has great ambiance(cool outdoor patio, dark and relaxing indoor seating and bar, but really lacks in the food department.
Providence - is the tasting menu a must-do??
The tasting menu with wine pairings, and the shaved truffles on one coarse (extra) was one of the best meals of my life. I have traveled and I have eaten, and it is right up there at the top! A fantastic experience.
Looking for Good pizza in Eagle Rock
There is no good pizza in Eagle Rock. Casa Bianca is insipid and uses tasteless canned ingredients. Capri is just as bad but at least the two twins that run the joint are at a good show.
Europane vs. Lovebird's Bakery Cafe in Pasadena
Europane makes there baked goods fresh every morning. There is no way that all of the baked goods that they have out at Love Birds sell in one day. There is absolutlely no comparison in the quality of ingredients that Europane uses compared to Love Birds. All of her fruit and vegetables com from the farmers market, and you can taste the difference. And for the record it is the best egg salad sandwich I have ever had. I personaly like my counter staff tatooed and artsy, it definately makes life more intersting.
Reopening the Cupcake Discussion
I have to say I have never had a dry cupcake at Auntie Em's. We get them for parties quite often, and they really are the best I have eaten. Sprinkles is too sweet. Ledas are too small and too expensive, but they look really cute. (I too love the BLAST at Auntie Em's!)
Help! Need "homemade" cookies tomorrow - Pasadena
Auntie Em's Kitchen. Chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies and peanut butter cookies. They are about the size of the palm of you hand (if it were big), and are around $1. a piece. The thin and crispy chocolate chip are is my fave.
Blue Velvet Downtown...anyone...anyone???
We have been and really liked it. Great space-just beautiful. The food has been cosictantly good. The service was great.

Wow, sorry you had a bad experience. I have had nothing but great meals each time I have gone there. The lamb chops, cooked to perfection, the pork, slowly cooked greens and polenta-heaven, the cheese cake, divine. The wait staff has been nothing but attentive. I have seen the chef at the Santa Monica farmers market buying her veggies and this holds alot of weight with me. Canele comes to a neighborhood that does not have to many great restaurants and brings us lovely, creative and thoughtfully prepared food. I really love this place, and welcome it to the nieghborhood!

Italian Alternatives in Eagle Rock
The Capri is awful. Canned everything, dark and dirty. Flavorless and unispired. Make the trek to Silverlake and go to Michelangelos.
Caterers Offering/Not Offering Free Tasting
If you are paying thousands and thousand of dollars for food for your wedding they should bend over backwards to get your business. They should pack a couple of extra things up in the kitchen before they leave the restaurant and let you taste them at the event. I would not give them my money.
