Evergood (brand) Bockwurst?

OK, so it's not a haute cuisine question, but it IS Memorial Day after all,
a time for hot dogs and sausages on the grill!
I can't find my favorite sausage anywhere on the Westside/Santa Monica,
has anyone seen Evergood brand Bockwurst in any store in this area
(or even a reasonably-close area)?
Yes, I know I can go to a German deli for some, but I love the Evergood
brand, pretty darned good for a packaged sausage (very nice quality with
NO artificial ingredients or additives!). Thanks.

Best Fish and Chips?

I agree with the overwhelming majority on here that the Kings Head has EXCELLENT fish and chips! :)
(Only negative review I see is one person posting the same thing three times within this thread, is that really necessary?)

Tasters' Choice Flavored Coffees

I'm afraid you're stuck with the sticks! Their web site no longer shows the jars,
it looks like they were discontinued.

Kruegermann Pickles in WLA or Santa Monica?

Thanks for the parking tip. FYI, besides that sweeter style of pickle
most of the German delis (like European Sausage Kitchen) usually carry,
Kruegermann also makes sour dill, spicy garlic, and spicy Hungarian
style pickles as well (I'm getting hungry just typing that!) : )

Kruegermann Pickles in WLA or Santa Monica?

Shab, thank you, I stopped at that Pavillions on my way to work this morning,
but they only carry the Kruegermann sauerkraut and red cabbage, no pickles.
Ric, thanks also, I go to European Sausage Kitchen occasionally, but it's a
ways away for me (for just pickles), and hard to find parking around there.
So my pickle quest continues!

Kruegermann Pickles in WLA or Santa Monica?

Thanks, an L.A. Times article about a year ago said they could be found "at
select Vons, Pavilions, Gelson's, Mayfair, Albertsons and Whole Foods markets",
so I'm hoping some eagle-eyed pickle lover on the Westside can
save me a lot of running around!

Kruegermann Pickles in WLA or Santa Monica?

I'm really in a pickle here (pun intended)!
I know of a few specialty shops and delis that carry them, but does anyone know
of any supermarkets (Von's, Albertson's, Whole Foods, etc.) in WLA/Santa Monica
(or a neighboring city) that carries Kruegermann Pickles?
I'd like to find some for my Super Bowl spread. Thanks.

Growlers: does anyone use them in LA?

Anyone know if Westwood Brewing Co. near UCLA sells growlers to go?

Straus Dairy egg nog in Los Angeles?

Well, I found some at Whole Foods last night, and have to say, the Straus eggnog was a major disappointment.
Can not hold a candle to Broguiere's in my opinion, Straus tastes like a quart of 1% milk with a cup of Broguiere's mixed in!

Straus Dairy egg nog in Los Angeles?

Thank you for the tip. I phoned, none in yet, but they're expecting some in soon! : )

Looking for Invert Sugar

Try calling Surfas in Culver City, (310) 559-4770, I think they may carry it.

Straus Dairy egg nog in Los Angeles?

Thanks Harry, I tried that, but that is only a list of stores that carry Straus
products in general, and is not item-specific.
I'm hoping some eagle-eyed nog lover can tell me who actually has some!

Straus Dairy egg nog in Los Angeles?

OK, I've long been a devotee of Broguiere's egg nog, but I'd like to broaden
my quality egg nog horizons, and try the nog made by Straus Family Creamery
of San Francisco (also in glass quart bottles like Broguiere's).
Anyone know of any stores on the Westside of L.A. that carry it?

Stuffed Clams or Clams Casino in L.A.?

Mattapoisett, what is the Silva brand at Von's you mentioned, a local brand? Frozen?
The only type I've ever seen at Von's before was a package of 6 scrawny frozen stuffed clams that were Safeway brand (I believe) and not very good...

Stuffed Clams or Clams Casino in L.A.?

Making them yourself is a good idea of course, just I'd rather avoid all that
labor! :)
The restaurant examples mentioned above sound good, but I'm looked for
uncooked ones I can grill at home, or take camping. Surely there are some
other fish markets out there in a city this size who make their own tantalizing
take on stuffed clams/clams casino???

Stuffed Clams or Clams Casino in L.A.?

Does anyone know of any Seafood or Fish Markets in the Los Angeles area
that sell their own fresh (uncooked) clams casino or stuffed clams?
I've tried the stuffed clams at Santa Monica Seafood (OK, but a bit too
weird of a recipe for me) and Bristol Farms also sells some OK ones made by
Mattlaw's. I would love to try some others, if anyone else makes them in L.A. .
Thanks!
