Love their flapjacks. The corned beef hash was too salty to eat- twice. They didn't care.

I'm looking for a couple of quarts of OJ for a brunch gathering on Sunday.

I love corned beef hash but the hash at the redondo Original Pancake House was so salty it was inedible. I complained, they just shrugged their shoulders.
The Flapjacks are great, though.(Usually. Once, the middle was way undercooked)

The choc chip cookies at Curious Palate are delicious and very large. My only complaint is that they have too much chocolate in them. I imagine that won't bother most people.
They've recently started opening for breakfast(@ 7:30AM). Four of us had breakfast there today and agreed that each of the four different dishes was excellent.

Very simple, just the chile and 2 kinds of cheese. Cooked under the "alligator".

They have lots of other good stuff too.

NO! Not worth a try. Worst Patty Melt I've ever eaten- in fact I didn't finish it.

There used to be one behind the old sandwich shop in Los Olivos but I don't know if it's still there.

My wife and I had lunch there a few days ago and it was delicious. She had a salad which she loved and I had a ham and cheese pannini- the best I've had since a little cafe in Rho, near Milano. Good cheese, good ham, good bread and a little Dijon mustard with just the right toasting from the pannini machine. A delightful find.

Breakfast at Shoop's deli on Main st. in Ocean Park- Green Eggs And Ham.
Metro Cafe in C.C. for dinner- anything- it's all good.

Many years ago I used to get great Chile rellenos w/out batter at a little place in Santa Monica Canyon called Pancho's. I've never found them anywhere else. Pancho told me they were "Guanajuato style".
Anybody else ever heard of this style or been to Guanajuato?

I'm interested in going for the music but if the food's good, so much the better. Has anybody been lately?
