searching for War Su Har

Still looking for War Su Har (shrimp wrapped in bacon & fried) like the old Jimmy Dip's in Fort Worth used to make. Anyone know where I can find this lost Cantonese dish?

Vegetarian in TX :) Help!

I always liked the 'Dream Cafe' in the Quadrangle in Dallas. they have many vegetarian dishes with a nice 'play-yard' for children. Weekends are always busy and there may be a wait for a table outside.

I agree, the 'Cosmic Cafe' on Oaklawn is also nice.

Dallas: top 3 steak houses for visitor?

Bob's serves a decent steak......in an intolerable atmosphere. VERY LOUD. Not at all appropriate if you intend to hold conversation during your meal. Frankly, I think Bob's is a case of 'famous' for the sake of being 'famous'. Not the 'best' for a 'total' dining experience.

searching for War Su Har

Back in the 60's and 70's my family's favorite restaurant was 'Jimmy Dip's on University Boulevard in Fort Worth; our favorite dish there was 'War Su Har'. After searching the internet I have failed to find another Cantonese restaurant that serves this dish. Jimmy Dip's has long since closed. Anyone know of this dish (fried shrimp wrapped in bacon)?

Thanks
