Best Montreal smoked meat in NYC?
I was walking on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, just west of Court Street, when I saw a business which advertised Montreal Deli or meat.Since I did not see any tables or customers so I do not know whether it was wholesale or retail, but this information may be useful to you. Best of luck, am looking forward to trying the Montreal meat myself.

I think that Allegria , the restaurant in the Long Beach hotel of the same name is the type of place you are looking for. Nice ambiance and decor, fashionable crowd and decent food.

It is extremely close to your specified area, being a single traffic light from Northern on Glen Cove Road, so I'll throw out the Greenvale Diner as a solid and reliable choice for diner staples like omelets, soup et al.

There are three good Italian restaurants in close proximity on Motor Parkway in Hauppage.They are Sempre Vivello(sic),San Marco and Mario.I have eaten in each and can vouch for their quality.
