Dry Pasta Preference and Where in Boston/Burbs?
Pastene Whole Wheat Spaghetti, all-time favorite! No cardboard flavor here. I've only been able to find it at Shaw's for $2.49 or $2.99 a 16 oz. package. Not so keen on their WW Penne Rigate though.

Mary Chung, obviously not Thai, has had water spinach on their specials. They do it in just a garlic sauce as well as in a fermented bean curd sauce which was fabulous!

Wedding present suggestions?
I've just learned that a friend who I've fallen out of touch with just married and I'd like to buy her/them a present. I was thinking of something like an OpenTable gift certificate but apparently that doesn't exist. I don't know them well enough to choose a restaurant they'd like and get a gift certificate there. I also don't know if they registered anywhere. I'm not in NY so I'd have to do this online or by mail. Any ideas?

Kumquat Recipes besides marmalade and preserves...
I was thinking of posting the same question recently since Whole Foods often has kumquats and I love them. It's not a recipe, but I cut them in half, remove and seeds and throw them in salads.

Good pumpernickel?
I have gotten a what I think is a great loaf of sliced pumpernickle at Darwin's. They either have it on the day old shelf or often after 4 p.m. will sell what's left of day's fresh loaf.

My other half and I couldn't live without our 14" All-Clad LTD Stir Fry with the optional lid. It's a pricey $150 or so, but we use it just about everyday and it's virtually indestructible.
