Baltimore glatt catering
You understand correctly - we need foil-wrapped meals for a small group. However, the meals will need to be served in their double-wrapped foil, so doesn't caterer #2 usually send a server to serve them? I wouldn't think a glatt caterer would trust a kosher-style caterer to heat the food and then serve it - the foil needs to be left on there until it reaches the tables, right?

Hi Chowhounders, We need a glatt kosher caterer to provide some meals for a simcha. Star-K certification would be preferred and it's been requested that the catering have an orthodox certification.
One company has been recommended: Simchas and Brachas Catering.
Any thoughts on this or other companies, particularly for a small order to accompany a kosher-style simcha?
Also, is serving food from two caterers usually pretty seamless? (There is no trayf to worry about, that's for sure.)
Thank you!

Thanks to this board for the Glisan's rec near Ohiopyle. It was deliciouis! But it was hard to find as no one could seem to give us good directions! It's right on the highway.
We just spent a lovely weekend at the Mountain Playhouse, where they have Green Gables restaurant. It was delicious, but a bit pricey - luckily we were on one of their theatre packages. It may be worth going for just dessert and wine, although it's probably the best restaurant in the Jennerstown, PA region.

UPDATE: STONE SOUP AND MELLOW MOOD
Hi, Thanks for these rec's which we just used. I wanted to include an update: Stone Soup is still just fabulous, with an attention to detail that any foodie would love, and anyone who likes natural ingredients (organic meat, veggie options) will love this place.
You must try this little, tiny delicious sandwich shop on the main street called Mellow Mood. http://www.yelp.com/biz/mellow-mood-shepherdstown
It can be slow to get served if there is a line, but the wait is worth it. Mellow Mood has homemade juices and smoothies and a list of unique sandwiches that will make your mouth water, i.e. bakery-fresh cinnamon-applie bread with almond butter, apples and agave honey. An italian espresso maker produced a darn good cappucino. Plus they were really nice the three times we went! (This place looked a lot better than the busy bakery across the street, with it's plastic-wrapped sandwiches.)
We stayed at the Bavarian Inn and got take-out from M.M. which we enjoyed on the balcony overlooking the river - very nice indeed.
