What a fun idea!!!! We once had a corporate party, we were told to to be dressy and they brought the In and Out truck, it was so much fun and a real blast, your guests will love it. You should examine the ZLAC Rowing Club on Mission Bay. The place is historic, it is on the bay, we have been to many events there, I am sure you would love it, and the Truck could pull into their parking lot, evewrything would be private. Good luck, let us know what you choose.
The club was started when women were excluded from joining the San Diego Rowing Club. times have changed in athletics, but they are a still functioning rowing team and they have a great house on the water.

I have felt their website and philosophy to be a little holier than thou. How can you be so self riotous and have a whole marketing campaign based on telling me how good and environmental you are and I should also feel good about dining with you, but given the opportunity the owners do not practice what the preach.

I found it rather strange that the UT's Superdiner, Burger Lounge Owner Dean Loring, prefers McDonalds to his own. Their web site touts their sustainable culture, but when push comes to shove, he likes factory meat better than the organic that he touts.
I guess he can have his burger and eat it too.

Went recently with my son to watch a football game and have dinner, drunks at the bar cursing, very embarasing. We each had a burger fries he had a soda, aI had a draft beer, $30, no value there. Next time I will go to Bully's where kids eat free on Sunday.

I found that when my kids were young, the Il Fornaio in Coronado was great. They have outside seating with plenty to look at on the water. Room for a kid to roam. If they get fussy, you have the ability to walk along the path along the water.
Hash House is noisy and crowded with crampled seating, it would not be pleasant with a Todler.

If you must have your younger friends, get a large table on the patio at Alphonsos. They are able to keep it warm outside and their margaritas are great, and they have fun dishes liek nacho's that are good for the table.
