Chocolate Shops?

I discovered the Moonstruck Chocolate Shop at the Galleria at Tysons not too long ago. Great Mayan Hot Chocolate! Are there any other notable chocolate shops that serve hot Chocolate in the DC area that I should know about? It makes me excited for winter...

Gordon Ramsay at Maestro: Opening Very Soon

Definitely exciting news. I work in tysons and the rumor has been flying around Mclean for a while. Do tell!!

Five best restaurants in suburban MD?

Grapeseed, Taverna Kefi (new in Wheaton), Cava, David Craig and Daruma. Haven't tried Persimmon but will add to the list of places to try too.

What are the most overrated DC restaurants?

I'm so glad I read these comments as I was planning on going to I Ricchi to celebrate an anniversary! Thank you. And I must agree...Indeblue, Jaleo(s), Zaytinya and (was this mentioned?) DC Coast are over-rated and won't return. There are too many great restaurants in the city and 'burbs to explore and revisit!

Greek place across from Ferdinand's in Wheaton

WOW! I went back again on Wednesday (for lunch this time) and it was better than our first visit, which was also excellent! I went with coworkers and we were very pleased! We shared a few of the small plates to start - mushrooms with lemon sauce, zucchini patties and tzatziki - all good. The mushrooms were my favorite though. :) I had a gyro as my entree and I have to tell you, it was the best gyro platter I've had in the area. Definitely going back soon - we are so thankful that a nice place that's reasonably priced has opened in Wheaton!

One night in Dupont Circle - what to eat?

I like the atmosphere at Raku but there food is very inconsistent. One day, their pad thai is excellent and the next it's made completely different. Agree with Thaiphoon though...spicy and good!

Also, the metro can take you to Chinatown...lots of good eats there!

taverna cretekou in old town alexandria?

I can tell you...30 years it go, it was probably the best greek place in town. However, the cooking has been a disappointment for a while now. It's fun on a Thursday night when they have their live music but that's about all. If you are looking for good Greek, try Cava in Gaithersburg, MD, Greek Taverna in Mclean and, most recently, Taverna Kefi in Wheaton, MD - all excellent in my book. Haven't tried Vaso's yet but have heard good things.

Quality Greek Restaurant in NoVa, DC, Baltimore?

I went to a great NEW Greek restaurant in Wheaton, MD that I really have to recommend. Taverna Kefi - It just opened this month. I have been to Greece a few times and this is probably the best greek food I've had in DC or in Baltimore. Definitely going back very soon.
Only complaint - no kids menu but they made some recommendations and we were all quite pleased.

Help: Need FUN Rehearsal Dinner in NoVa

Velocity Five is a Sports Bar at the corner of Gallows and Lee Highway. They have private party areas too. I think they have a DJ so I'm not sure how rawdie you want to get! We had a work happy hour there and it really was a nice venue for it.

Bazin's on Church - review

I went a few times about a year ago and I do remember the noise level being a little louder than I would have liked for dinner. However, try lunch time...the food really is pretty good. (Unless, of course, they've changed Chefs recently)

Greek place across from Ferdinand's in Wheaton

It is Taverna Kefi. I live in the area and we went on Friday night. Excellent food. My only complaint is that they don't have a kid's menu. They were accomodating though and made some sugestions which worked out fine. Definitely going back.
