Delivary- Don Mills-Finch & Leslie- Bayview area???

I hate where I live when it comes to delivary options. I am envious of people who are in the DT core and can pick up the phone and order Butter chicken or dimsum.
I am starved!!! This lazy day started with me making pancakes served with warm syrup....but I stalled because I was planning on going to the gym...anyway to make a long story short, I skipped the gym and a sweet plate of pancakes will not do...I need substance...rice...something.

What can I order?? Please dont confirm that my only options are the so-so Chinese delivary options...any suggestions???

Thx

What restaurant would you gladly spend $500 in?

I have and would spend that much in Splendido- Dinner for two plus one bottle of wine- which was not too insane with all things considered (just under $100)
We did the tasting menu- the service was out of this world and the food was just to die for...actually all this talk is making me want to go again....

Red Velvet Cake?

Hey all...Thanks for the replies! I will have to check out some of these over the next few weeks and give you the feedback. I was just in Pusateri's and much to my excitement came across RED VELVET CUPCAKES- I couldn't resist to get 6 in all of the various flavour as well as 3 red velvet cupcakes. I just had the first one and the icing on the top is somewhat traditional but the actual cake is not as red- it is a dark brown with a tinge of red and is almost bordering chocolate.
The cupcakes are yummy but just not what the seem. I am sure I will enjoy them all but just a slight bit dissappointed that they are not the real thing- yummy nonetheless.

Red Velvet Cake?

Thanks Jamie! This truly is my favorite cake and have always settled on having it in NYC.
I supppose I could try to make my own, but there is something about purchasing your fav cake and taking it home in a little box and just diving right in, know what I mean?
I will check out baby cake's version somtime next week.

I will let you know the results...

lunch? Dinner? Hidden treats??

Salut!!

Okay so I visit Montreal every year and have been to all of the usuals and the real treats such as Toque and the like. This time I around I am there for two days and want to EXPLORE...can anyone suggest some reall hidden treats? Some restaurants that are maybe a bit more casual BUT really good and tasy- places that one may not find on the 'Best of...' lists but all the locals frequent. Both lunch and dinner places would be wonderful

Merci!!

Creme Brulee

I loooove Creme Brulee and ALWAYS order it if on a dessert menu.
I must say one of the best I have had was at Citizen restaurant. They are made to perfection...warm on top, cool underneath...just perfect.
