Visiting AZ with a baby - Recs?
Sauce, a local mini chain is pretty kid friendly and the prices and quality are on par with what you pay for.
Don and Charlies resto Scottsdale
Go get yourself a nutgrinder and some macadamions (sp?) to start. Arrange baking sheet with tinfoil and butter foil. Place halibut or say cod down on foil, (buy fresh not frozen) pile on crushed nuts, breadcrumbs (I use crushed ritz crackers soley) pads of butter and bake at 350 for 15/20 minutes depending on size - Whoila!
It used to me my wifes favorite dish and a favorite resto up until a few years ago when I believe we were substitued cod or another whitefish for our halibut, we ate, paid, left and never have been back. I do miss it especially their bbq and grauten potatoes.
Durant's: The post I never thought I would write (PHX)
I've been twice the past two months for lunch and I had a burger and the French dip. Both were fantastic. Service was great and it was packed. Being a burger head and working downtown I would rate Durants as having the best burger to date. My tastes vary from Athenia, Delux, Original Hamburger works, AJ's parking lot, Majrle's, BOB, Wine Burger, Two hippies. Welcome dinner would be my #2.
