Trinity - Downtown Greek

I have never been so angry with myself as I was this past Saturday night! I should have left when we gon in the door, we felt so ripped off by the staff at Trinity’s. Upon arriving, that was the first indication, the hostess would begin to speak to you and then turn her attention to someone else and then turn away from us. After 3 attempts she finally said that she has a table; only to be taken to the edge of the kitchen, while there were many tables were empty in the center and did not fill until two hours later as we were leaving. Once being seated, the waiter, who was very pushy, insisted that I change seats to the opposite side of the table, his explanation was so that I might be able to take in the show. I declined saying I would rather be on this side as not to be bumped or brushed by all coming and going from the kitchen. That I believe set the tone! He was not happy…. However, we seemed to be getting along fine until we didn’t order a bottle of wine but ordered a glass instead (in fact we ordered a total of four). Then came the appetizers; my husband ordered grape leaves & hummus for himself and the lamb ravioli for me – all was ok. Then the main course he ordered some kind of salad and I got the lamb chops, all were ok – lamb was good but a bit overdone. Our entrees were served by another waiter and then there was not service at all. A party of 12 came in and sat at the long table at the back- a very young group; I would say the some of the nouveau riche who looked as if they had just gotten out of bed. Our waiter never returned! He never returned! We had to ask a waiter passing by if we might have dessert and coffee, the coffee came but never the dessert. We asked one of the guys wearing a jacket (manager type) who were wondering around for our check and then had to ask someone to take it! The bill was $180.00! It is such a show…..he was right I should have turned around!
