Uighur/Uyghur food in San Francisco proper?

Thanks! I found a couple of articles online that mentioned that SF had Uighur food, but nothing more specific - seems like that may have been an exaggeration!

Uighur/Uyghur food in San Francisco proper?

Hi - I have an upcoming trip to SF and am wondering what Uighur/Uyghur/Islamic Chinese food I can find in the area. I'll be staying downtown with limited time, so I won't be able to trek to the outer suburbs. Seems like Old Mandarin Islamic Restaurant is pretty good (and hopefully still open - their former URL no longer works). Anything else along those lines I shouldn't miss, or anything unusual/unusually good in Chinatown, since I'll be staying close by? Thanks a lot!

I discovered Uighur food on a business trip to Montreal and have been chasing it down (with mixed success) ever since!

Mansion on O Street

I had brunch there on Sunday. Overall, was quite impressed. I didn't try the omelets or waffles, as I can make those at home, but some of the breakfast food was fabulous - I particularly liked the cheese grits and peppered bacon. The "lunch" room was the standout for me, lots of inspired side-type dishes including lots that seemed fresh/healthy as well as delicious. A roasted fig salad and marinated mushrooms were two of my favorites. The third broad category is desserts. For me these were a little less exciting, as seemed less creative than the savory dishes, but the ones I tasted were well-executed. In all categories, the selection was very impressive. My only complaint would be that at the price, I expected champagne refills to come a little more readily!

Late dinner in Florence?

Any suggestions for a late dinner in Florence? We are scheduled to arrive at Santa Maria Novella station at 10 p.m. I've read through the boards and have only come up with Coquinarius (which gets mixed reviews) as a "late night" place - open till 1. We'd be happiest with casual and inexpensive (but good!) and somewhere on the north side of town (our hotel is near the Giardino della Gherardesca). Thanks in advance!
