Pete's Big Bite in Whitby Ontario

This place is great. I don't see it mentioned hardly at all and I thought it should be. I have eaten at all the burger places nearby (Starr, Johnnys) and this is the best. Prices are normal for homemade fare, about 10 bucks for a combo.

Get the the bad boy burger big bite sauce and the hot relish, with onion rings

Thank my later.

Restaurant Week! Yay!

Which is exactly why i will be doing these menus!

A couple of nights, I want to go extravagant and do the tasting menu, have a nice $200-300 bill but for most nights I would like to stick to like around $100 for both of us.

Restaurant Week! Yay!

Hey guys, I'm heading to Vegas (first time!) on Friday (29th - 6th) and I'm really excited! I was already very excited because I have reservations for B&B (pasta tasting menu) on Sunday that I'm pumped for.

Now that I've learned it is restaurant week, I should be able to hit a nice spot every night for dinner.

I was already planning on going to Craftsteak anyways, maybe trying their kobe tasting menu but now the week just got even better. I didn't feel like spending $200 a night on dinner, so I was planning on only hitting a couple nice restaurants during the week and then having normal dinners out the other nights but now, I can try to hit tons.
Fiamma's RW menu looks awesome.

Are there any you suggest that I stay away from or definitely go to via this list?

Mario's B&B in Vegas (Pasting Tasting Menu)

As far as I know the pasta tasting menu for Mario's place is $85 per person with a $65 per person wine pairing (optional).
You get 7 courses, 5 of pasta and 2 desserts if I'm not mistaken.

I have not had it though. This is just from my own research. I will be going to Vegas on Aug 29-Sept 6 and I will have it then. I cannot wait!

Mario's B&B in Vegas (Pasting Tasting Menu)

Hey guys, I'm going down to Vegas at the end of August (can't wait! first time and for 9 days!)

Anyways I have a reservation for B&B and I cannot wait. My plan is to try the pasting tasting menu but my question is this. I'm going with my girlfriend who is not as big a foodie as I am. She enjoys trying things, but not nearly as much as I.

I know the pasting tasting menu says it requires the participation of the entire table but what does that mean? Also neither of us are large wine drinkers but for this occasion I was thinking about getting the wine pairings for myself to go with each pasta course so I can try exactly what it's supposed to be but she probably won't want wine.

Is that okay?

For people who have eaten there, do you really need both persons' participation for the pasta tasting menu? I'm certain I can convince her to take part in that, even if only I will have wine with it.

Just any insight into the pasting tasting menu would be great.

Reservations needed for Lotus of Siam?

After hearing all the excitement and hub-bub about this restaurant in Vegas I figure I better check it out.
I'm heading to Vegas for a week on August 29th, but I'm unsure if reserving is necessary. If I walk in, will I get a table for 2 fairly easily?

I know I could just 'book it' but I already have 3 reservations at restaurants and I know when I get there I will want some freedom to check out restaurants that I haven't even heard of yet.

Vegas - L.I.Chef notes too

Hey guys, as a first time vegas-er I am thinking I should make reservations at the big restaurants, but is it necessary?

Can I get into the Burger Bar without reservations? What about something bigger like L'Atelier or something like Olives? Any advice?

First time to Vegas - Planning my restaurants!

I see many many great reviews for B&B, and Delmonicos. I'm going to those 2 for sure. I can't wait for the pasta tasting menu at B&B.

I hear so many great things about Craftsteak, I think I may put that as the last night's dinner. A great way to end our trip.

What about fast food? What are some really good places?

How about generally good food with interesting theme/fun restaurants? I don't mind restaurants like Rainforest Cafe because the food is generally pretty good and the atmosphere is fun and unique.
I'm sure Vegas is stoked full of these types of places

First time to Vegas - Planning my restaurants!

I'm a big foodie! Culinary trained as well and to boot I am heading to Las Vegas for the first time on August 29th for 8 days (leaving next Sat the 6th, so that is a travel day doesn't count)

I am so excited because I hear it's just a constant stream of lights and excitement.

I am overwhelmed at how many great restaurants I can get to and plan on it. I'm bringing my girlfriend who isn't too dangerous on trying new things at restaurants but still likes the nice places like I do.

So far we only plan to do the Trek place, Grand Canyon tour on Monday and a Cirque show on Wed (O). I still want to check out Carrot Top's comedy show as well as Copperfield or Penn and Teller plus maybe another Cirque show? So we'll have to work those in I suppose.

Anyways, do you approve of this list?

Friday (we arrive 10am) - Eiffel Tower restaurant. Nice view, good quality food so I hear. Figured the best place to start off. I plan on reserving a window near the Bellagio fountains. We'll probably spend this day just walking the Strip and taking it all in.

Saturday - I'm a bit of a closet Trekkie and since it's closing on the 1st, I have to get to it. So that will be our Saturday plan. I'm staying in the Hilton so it won't be too far. Do the Trek stuff for a couple hours, hit Quark's for some silly mishapen food and crazy drinks. Might need a late night idea for a restaurant or buffet as I hear the Trek stuff only takes a couple hours.

Sunday - Finally a good restaurant! We are going to head up B & B at the Venetian. Nothing major planned. Probably check out a show or two.

Monday - Entire day is devoted to the Grand Canyon bus tour. We leave our hotel at 7am and get back at 9pm. I figure we'll be too tired to wine and dine, so we are thinking about hitting up some local fast food place to get a greasy fix. Any suggestions?

Tuesday - Currently sitting at checking out Okada. We loved vegetable/chicken sushi. I think this place will finally get me to go all out and try raw fish variations. It's the best right?

Wednesday - So far our only busy day planned on the Strip. Reserved Delmonicos for 7pm and the Cirque show 'O' for 10:30pm. Should be great!

Thursday - Spice Market Buffet - We have to at least have one day where we try the famous LV buffets. I figure this gets the most sounding approval.

Friday - Nothing planned, but it is our last night, so any romantic gourmet suggestions? Craftsteak?

Saturday - We leave 1pm!

Others - I plan to get to Bouchon at least once for breakfast, possible more

Recommend me any restaurants, do you think I should change any? Should I take into consideration your favourite show?
We are Canadian, so we don't get to check out a lot of the famous US restaurants that often.

Super excited, cannot wait to go!

So suggestions, suggestions!
