Riverpark?
I had the pork belly there for lunch. It was over salted. Then they put whole grain mustard on it making it barely edible. Then I went again for a business lunch and after 2PM they have a limited menu so I had to go with the cheeseburger. For $14 it was super tiny. They burger was a bit over done for rare and was dry and bland.IT was a major let down of a burger. Would not go back if I was paying out of my own pocket. i did enjoy the wine. A pinot noir 2010 Oyster Bay New Zealand. Nice and crisp.

Indian Reccs in Curry Hill
Kaluystan's 2nd floor is amazing. You have to get the Mujaddara sandwich. It is very satisfying for a 4.99 . Its rice and lentils topped with caramelizedshallots. Then they top with tahini sauce lettuce tomatoe and pickled vegetables. The guys who make the sandwiches are experts. Watch them at the counter making your sandwich. It amazing.
Anyone tried the new Halal cart at 4th and Atlantic?
Yes I have. I had a Lamb Gyro. The pita wasn't really that good. A bit stale. The cukes, tomatoes and lettuce was very fresh. The meat wasnt that great. I noticed they switch guys behind the counter often. The best gyro I have had in Brk so far, Caroll Classic Garden DIner. Awsome.
Good Gyros
I know exactly what you are talking about. The meat is already cooked. Thinly sliced and frozen. Then they throw them on the grill. The brand is Grecian. Some diners in Jersey use that .

Cooking in Brooklyn: Alan Harding Crashes & Burns
I ran in to AH at the Zombie Hut one night. I am from NJ and did not know he owned it. I went up to him and told him his show keeps me up all night waiting for it to come on at 1:30AM. He was a total d*&^. He ignored me and walked away. Why would anyone film a cooking show be like that when a fan approches them? No wonder the shows are all re-runs now.

I agree. Stay away from Maria's. Always short of staff and the food is very bland.
Lobster Rolls ?
Research recipes and make your own. Most places think that because its a "lobster" roll it has to be expensive. That is why I stay away when I see it on the menu. If you are ever in Portland, Maine go to McDonalds. Yes, McDonalds. Its on the menu there and it won't cost as much as Fish Camp.

Order the Black Cod from Chance on Smith Street in Brooklyn. Ive had the one at Nobu also and I was reminded of it after eating the one at Chance. It is excellent.
Brooklyn Heights food cart
I wouldnt even try it! All these food carts are not inspected by the board of health. They required no sanitaion license. Thses cart owners don't even no about proper food storage temperatures. Just imagine what goes on in the garage-like place they pull those carts out of. If you go and try it tell me what you think!

I don't get the bubble tea. I couldnt find the gall to swallow the tapioca balls. They are good to spit out though. Sandwiches were really tasty. Classic and Pork execellent. I would prefer a better roll to go on though.

Decent - The sides are great. The steak was good quality. The prices I thought were very expensive. If you want to pay the $ here your probably better off going to Lugers. Service is good. Its a very small place. It BYOB.

I think you may mean Mignon in Rutherford, NJ. If so it is pretty decent steak. The creamed spinach and scaloped potatoes sides are also delightful.
