prepared foods at costco?

I agree that the packaging leaves something to be desired. I just transfer it to a tupperware container as soon as I get home.

prepared foods at costco?

I like their beef barley soup.

Sign O' the times...

I would suggest : http://www.roadfood.com/Forums/default.aspx as a place to go to see where regional indie food is served. There are many, many great restaurants in every town which we can patronize. It beats frozen meat and salad from a bag. Take a look.

Best Fast-Food Fries?

Penn Station makes some tasty fries.

Breakfast in downtown Indianapolis

I could also suggest the red Eye Cafe on S Meridian by the railroad overpass/Union Station. Not elegant, but the food's ok and you can get a beer with your breakfast if so inclined.

What fast food do you eat rarely, but that first bite think "Wow, this is so good!"

That is one of the best and funniest posts I have read. True, too.

Costco Smoked Salmon?

I eat this regularly. The product is awesome. The price is incredibly low too.

[Indy] Big Night Out...

I would agree with the original post regarding Oakley's. I have eaten there and found it to be a bit pretentious, over priced and the menu not creative enough to justify the prices.

Costco has fingerlings potatoes again! [moved from Home Cooking]

Please share your recipe. I roast them or use them in a brussel sprout/pearl onion/bacon hash.

Sichuan Chinese Restaurant in Indianapolis (Carmel)

I have to comment on GT South's food. I live near the northeast side location and get takeout there regularly. I agree the sides are not so good. The pulled pork is outstanding. However, the ribs are really small and dry. I'd recommend King Ribs. They have locations all over town, usually in former car washes or other converted buildings.

Best food finds at Costco? [old]

Hi GMC:

I am from Indianapolis and purchased it the day it was made. Just had a bowl in fact. The both was very chickeny and the seasonings, I thought, blended well. If I would have any complaint, it would be that they put too much chicken and veggies and noodles in the mix in relation to the broth. The first bowl can be soup, however the next three or so are more like a stew.

Love the rotisserie chicken soup. Tasty, not too salty, with lots of chicken.

Peoria Illinois dining options

I am originally from there and visited over the summer. I ate at Papparazzi and was impressed. For Peoria. Jim's is a traditional steakhouse. At Alexanders, which has a great river view, you have the option of paying to cook your own steak. Has a huge salad bar. Have eaten at Rizzi's a few years back. Not bad. Nice atmosphere, though.

Best Fast Food Chain?

Have to agree on the doneness issue. I like mine medium rare or rare. The fries, I think, are good.

Family vacation in Savannah and St Simmons - where to eat??

I've always enjoyed the Crab Trap on St Simon's for dinner.

Recommended restaurants in downtown Indianapolis

You might consider Dunaway's on the corner of South and East streets. You can get steaks, some Northern Italian inspired dishes, seafood (lobster ravioli is excellent) and great shrimp cocktail.

I'd avoid St Elmo, as the quality has declined markedly. The meat is not dry aged as it had been years previously. It is living on reputation.
