restaurant for husband's 30th bday

can anyone suggest a great restaurant? doesn't have to be super expensive, just awesome food, I love EMP, but have taken him there 2 years ago, AND we were just there to celebrate my dad's 60th not long ago, we've also been to Babbo in the past. Seafood place would be nice, but we both don't eat raw (i'm allergic)...where can we go in the city?

thanks

quick light lunch around inner harbor area

Hi all, need suggestions for a light lunch near the Hyatt hotel, inner harbor area for Saturday. We have 6pm reservations for Costas Inn, but would be getting into Baltimore around 2pm-ish. What are some of our choices?

Congee near Grand Central?

nope...i got jipped cuz i saw on menupages, it's VERY outdated, i say 80% of the menu isn't there at all

popping the question, just need a setting

not food related...as someone who got proposed to recently, i'm so glad he decided to do it NOT on my birthday (which was only a few days apart), reasoning...you have 363 (i would say no on valentine's day too) days to do it, why does it has to be my birthday? but that's my opinion...

ok now food related...as someone else mentioned, there's a little "back room" in EMP that's semi private with few tables, and definately quieter, but in there you don't get the impressive window view, oh and in there it's the "bench" seatingaround

Restaurants near the NY times building

9th avenue is your best bet, anything near times sq is touristy, 8th ave is all "not date" worthy

Perry St

it was good, do also get the fried boiled egg too...that was superb!

bkfast/lunch/dinner in montreal & quebec

I'll be visiting Montreal and Quebec City for a day or two, looking for some recommendations as to where to have breakfast/lunch/dinner!!! woohoo food galore...and yes dessert recommendation places are welcomed too. Not looking to spend ridiculous amounts of money though, up to $75pp for a really expensive dinner. I'm from NYC so I'm not looking for places it'll be like I never left NYC...rather I would enjoy local establishments & fun casual dining is best. Good tasting food is a must though (don't care about ambiance/decor, though cleanliness yes =).

Breakfast suggestions are much appreciated since that's the hardest thing to find on the boards.

Love seafood place recs, but I don't do raw.
