Desperate, please help!
My friend is celebrating her 21st birthday this Saturday, and I am trying to organize a dinner before we go bar hopping. The dinner will be 10 to 15 people, and we would like to be downtown. We were first thinking The Park, because they offer a pre fixe for parties 12 or more, and that is something we are looking to do. Now I am looking into Freemans and Zoe.
After dinner I was thinking we would have everyone else meet us at Gatsby's on Spring.
I need help in general...does anyone have suggestions for a restaurant and possibly a good bar where we could perhaps get some kind of deal for bringing 30 people?
TIME IS RUNNING OUT!
Bars to have a private New Years Party
I know it's last minute, but I am trying to organize a new years party in Boston for 75-100 people. I am looking for a bar that will give us a cover charge of $50-$60 for an open bar. I know some people may think this is unheard of, but if you have any suggestions of bars that have private space please please please let me know.
Is it possible to have a birthday dinner for 15 under 2000$????
I went to a great birthday party at Alta in the West Village. It does a great party menu and they have private rooms. It's a tapas bar and you have the option of ordering the entire menu for $350 which generously serves 10 people so if you ordered the entire menu 2 times it would be plenty. They also have the BEST sangria. I would definitely consider going to Alta.

Restaurant Week--where are you planning on going?
I went to Megu downtown last night for dinner, and typically I am not a fan of super trendy places, but the food was great considering it was restaurant week. I had the soft shell crab salad, the miso lamp chops, and the house dessert. My friend had the salmon app and the kobe beef. I felt the service was below average. But def. a good value.

I am a student interning in the city and my parents are coming to visit me from Boston. They will be here for two nights (Thursday and Friday) in August . They have been to the city many times, but I want to take them to some fantastic restaurants. I am planning two dinners. One will be with all of my siblings that live in the city (3) and the other meal might be 4 people total.
In terms of dinner the last time they were here we went to Craft and Union Square Cafe. They liked both restaurants very much, and I would like to take them to restaurants on the same level. Maybe one restaurant that has a funky atmosphere and good for a group of 6. I was thinking Merkato 55, Prune, Alfama....All suggestions are welcome.
