My current drink of choice:
Ice-cold skim milk. This would be my desert-island beverage. A good dark beer would be my second choice. I'm fond of Lammsbrau organic dunkel.
I really wish I could:
1) Afford to eat out more often. 2) Perfect my cha siu bao and my potsicker skins, 3) Figure out how to make beignets like the ones at Cafe du Monde, 4) Teleport myself to New Haven CT. in order to eat pizza as the mood strikes
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Claudia Flemming's buttermilk panna cotta (with rasberry sauce). Its cheap and ridiculously easy, and it never fails to impress.
My favorite comfort food:
Pizza. No contest.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Locally: Udupi, Waraji, Guglhupf, Vin Rouge, Bosphorus, Blue Mist BBQ.

I have a largish collection of books on patisserie and make good use of them all. I am also a fan of Maggie Glezer's bread books.
