Tapas Restaurant

If you are looking for another Tapas place - try Tasca's in Brighton on Comm Ave. Great food, great homemade sangria!

Downtown Boston during Boston Marathon

It is only on Marathon day that Copley area is fenced off - I work in the area and on non-race days you can get around - but you should expect delays...... on race day be prepared to pick a side of the street and stay on that side all day.
Dinner at $15-20 is going to be very hard around here.

If you like Tapas - Tasca's on the B line to Brighton is good and they have been running specials for dinner. I agree Coda is good but does tend to have a crowd after work.

Downtown Boston during Boston Marathon

Thai Basil on Newbury has good Thai food - lunch is inexpensive and quick. Chili Duck on Boylston St. is also good for Thai.

A good Italian restaurant in the North End is Massiminos - you could walk or just take the T a few stops downtown.

quick lunch near columbia university and/or nyu

We ended up going to 'wichcraft for lunch. I had the Gruyere and caramelized onion sandwich, my niece had the mozzarella and fontina sandwich and my husband had the pastrami. All were good and I did not find them expensive, in fact they were cheaper then Boston prices.

We got a snack at the Columbia campus cafe - good and not too expensive. We walked up Broadway b/n 116 and 114 and there were a bunch of places that looked good and not too expensive.

Breakfast during the week in Cambridge?

S&S is our standby. Everyone can get something they want no matter what time of day it is and while they are def. a get in and get out experience on the weekends, midweek usually is much better. If you are just looking for eggs and homefries then they are average - it is their specialty items and deli stuff that make them standout.

Thanks! It's been years since I spent time in these areas so the more ideas, the better. Any recommendations for an afternoon snack near Columbia or the Port Authority Bus Terminal?

We would be taking the subway and won't have much time between the two. Something inexpensive, quick - prob. sandwiches and such.

Best place for tea?

I took my 16 yr old last March to the Four Seasons (Bristol Lounge) and it was fantastic. The service was great and so was the tea. The food was okay as well. They did not rush us and the seats are really comfy. We had a great relaxing time and it was a great treat.
